Last weekend v the Dragons the Southern stand was re named the Monty Porter Stand

I think it was a great idea to knowledge the inaugural Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks captain in 1967 played the all 22 games

A Tough prop, second rower also played for Western Suburbs and St.George before joining the Sharks.

Monty Porter was President of the club from 1984 to 1988.

Since 2008 the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks club has awarded the Monty Porter Medal to its 1st grade Player of the Year.

I'm a big fan of the Peter Burns stand. The only real issue is the sun coming over the Matty C Stand. Could be closed in as well but that's not as bad as that sun.

he has the bar in the leagues club named after him

Yeah I know but I thought he'd have a stand. Best Sharks player I have seen.

True but trust me, you appreciate that sun in the PB stand during a Sunday arvo game in July/August.

It's good other than when it's right over the Matty C Stand. Once it got there I could barely see the game, wouldn't be quite as bad with sunnies.

theyll just build one for Gal...it will be the greatest granstand ever but theyll probably build it so it somehow blocks the main entrances and closes one lane of captain cook drive
