Just watched an interview with Bruno Cullen which was conducted yesterday. He stated that as far as he was concerned from a balance sheet point of view we were in a very healthy position and he went on to say that we were a lot healthier than other people.
With this in mind, Rebecca Wilson has no right or foundation to state the things that she has said. The underlying agenda here is the media's need to see us banished. My question is: "Is their agenda fed by the NRL's desire to expand the competition by having less Sydney teams. If they banish us or relocate us, then I ask all other clubs in Sydney, are you next?

When the development was approved last year, I wondered if the NRL was really happy about it. The drug scandal gives them an excuse to put it back on the agenda and this scandal is in turn being media driven by the likes of Rebecca Wilson and more sadly from our point of view a bloke who calls himself a member and supporter.

The real question is: What sanctions do we place as supporters on these people? Are there any?

What a load of ill-informed biased drivel. Get a real job that actually contributes to society if you aren't going to take your journo profession seriously. If you want to be a journo do it the right way with solid research and keep your agenda and opinion out of it. There are so few with the respect and credibility to make them worth reading or listening to.

Wilson isn't a journo. She is a talent-less hack who has a job only because of her Daddy, and her husband. She has yet to publish an original thought in her time as a sports writer. All she does is wait till others break stories, then 1 week to 2 weeks after the fact mashes specific points from all the others stories together and pretends that its her idea.

Its disgusting that she holds a job considering the un researched and uneducated views she puts forth whenever she gets published.

No - David Gallop said last year at a home game that he doesn't want the Sharks going anywhere. I know he has moved on but why would we be appointed a CEO if the NRL really wanted us to fail.

As for sanctions on crappy Journo's that I would be interested in!

Article breakdown...........

IT IS no coincidence that ASADA officials chose the Cronulla Sharks as their first port of call in their mission to uncover dope cheats in rugby league.

What is she implying? that statement is ridiculous, is she saying that cronulla have been drug cheats since 1967.

The events that have unfolded in the Sutherland Shire since ASADA swooped late last week underline, in dramatic terms, what happens when a professional sporting organisation lacks any semblance of leadership or governance.

Last time I checked the board of directors is meant to do just that...direct. Which means her statement is wrong...

The Cronulla Sharks are a basket case. They have been stony broke for several seasons, without a chief executive for three years and, until this week, had a chairman who liked to tell everyone the club did not need anyone else in charge except him.

When a football landed on Damian Irvine's desk several years ago, he could not believe his luck. Here was a hotel concierge, a fan, who now had the keys to the dressing room of his favourite footy team.

He happily spent many hours doing radio and television interviews, telling all and sundry that it was his view that there was nobody out there who was suitable to be the club's chief executive..

The club is not a basket case reading two paragraphs of your story has already shown you're a basket case(also a booze hound). Also did you miss he point, where Cronulla sharks redevelopment will save them money also gains money. I'm in an understanding that more incoming money=less debt (so I've been told). Also when did irvine say that no one else needs to run the ship, are you just putting words in people's mouths. (True journalism gold). So while this is her opinion, so far she shows no real deliberation as to anything that would be half intelligible or true.

In the meantime, Rome, or the Sharks, burned. Sponsors fled in their droves, crowd numbers were not increasing and today the club appears to be on its knees.

The footy team held up its end of the bargain, though, under new coach Shane Flanagan. The team started winning and the Shire had a team of which it could be proud. Maybe, just maybe, Flanagan, Paul Gallen and co could lead the Sharks to their first premiership. All of this has gone pear shaped this week. The coach has been dumped, along with other key coaching personnel. The board deemed it necessary to wield the axe.

Ok so 17000+ at rd 1 is a bad crowd attendance, I see you expect 100,000 to attend sorry that not all sharks fans can show up to games.(/end sarcasm) . But at what point does it seem like the club is on its knees we are standing and fighting united. As for the boards decision I don't agree with it, but they deemed it necessary.

Irvine quit after telling our own Phil Rothfield that the players had injected horse steroids. What appears to be a complete lack of loyalty to his own club was gobsmacking.

All of this led to an emotional outpouring from the club's fans at their first home game on Sunday night. The Shire loves its footy team but not enough to save it.

Yes irvine has foot in mouth disease, he should have kept his mouth shut. The next sentence is the one that gets me. under what presumabilty, do you go from the shire loves its footy to not enough to save it. Ask any shark fan you like "do you love the sharks enough to save it?" All would say yes, without forethought.

While David Gallop continually refuted expansion talk, the Sharks managed to sneak under the radar with static home crowds, little big business backing and moderate television ratings.

There is now a stench about the Sharks that can only be fixed if they pack up the truck and head out of the Shire.

Static home crowds? pretty sure the sharks average wasn't that bad to be honest. It's just fact that fans do not like watching their team lose, so of course crowds at certain points would dwindle.(but that is for every team not just the sharks). Under what pretense would you assume that the sharks MUST leave the shire. All you have given us thus far is your hate for the shire and its team.

I'm not going through the rest of that BS. She just wrote the most convoluted piece of rubbish. I could have possibly ever read.

So dear Rebecca,

I hope you get raped by a whale, you are as useless as a Barrel of monkey spunk.

From a sharks fan :glasses-cool:

I was unaware south Sydney were a juggernaut. o_O
That never came from me either but she is just crawling up Souths arse.
I think the only club in the NRL that can be classed as a juggernaut is Melbourne & we all know their story.

The telegraph is an agenda driven rubbish newspaper with the dregs of of the nations journalists in it employ.

When I was living in Sydney 15 years ago it was no different.

Absolute rubbish newspaper that will sink to the lowest of lows to create a headline and suck in the lowest common denominator of reader into buying its crappy newspaper.

Far to many people don't value their $1.20 to look past the rubbish headlines and avoid this disgraceful abuse of media called the Telegraph.

The answer is simple, don't buy it. If people don't buy it, it has no substance and hacks like Wilson and Rothfield don't have a job.
