would be even better if he took morris' spot next year

Yeah that's what I was thinking.

Morris seemed to have a contract drafted up and was waiting to see if we'd get Lewis. We get Lewis and now give this guy a full time contract and the coach is hopeful he'll play some NRL. You'd think Morris wouldn't be retained or will be low-balled for depth.

It mightn't be as an easy decision to let Morris go as it once was. Morris has hit some form and for the past two games has outshone De Gois.

Also the Romelo rumours.

I don't think JMo would have come cheap over the last three years, or probably would for the next couple (for a bench hooker anyway).

Agreed. He's a handy player. Was one of our best last year too.

However he is getting on. 32 now. You'd think he would be worse next year than this year.

I would re-sign Morris if we didn't have anyone else comming through and there was no-one else available. But at his age it's not worth holding on to him for another season or two, given it's only going to clog the way for Lichaa or Townsend to step up.

I wanted morris kept but now i'm thinking that it's a big waste of money. I was thinking that if we need someone to step in and play half a season or more of starting hooker then he would be perfect but if we can get romelo we will be more than covered at hooker on half of the price.

Morris is a solid hooker. Not usually the impact type of player you would have coming off the bench, he's like a long minute player who doesn't provide impact but can contribute for the whole game.

De gois, romelo and lichaa are all out and out impact dummy halves and if de gois does go down injured at some point then we still have robbo who can play there with chad to half or romelo to 9 and lichaa to bench.

The way Lichaa is going this year it will be impossible to keep him away from NRL next year.

Can't see Morris being here next year. He exercised his one year option this year and I can't see why the club would keep him for next year.

He has been good for us but I think it is time to move on.

I think Lichaa has what it takes to be anything. What I've seen of him has been awesome.

fantastic player, absolute prick of a person.

we heard him on the phone to his partner on saturday night, the females around us were less than impressed with his language and lack of decent communication skills

Snowman you are wrong mate. Lichaa is a top bloke. He was with his girlfriend at the club on Saturday night. I saw them together. He was a gentleman and was treating her with total respect. He is so far away from the person you described. Its bull**** statements like yours that start bull**** rumours. I think you may have mistaken him for someone else..... he's a bloody decent bloke and a bloody good hooker. Good luck to him with his career at the Sharks.
