Ive been thinking it for a few weeks now, not so much last season.

But it seems that in 2012, even though he is still making such big numbers for the club, him having less input in the actual run of the play is helping us greatly. When i heard he wouldnt be playing yesterday, while its always a big loss to lose your captain and hardest working player, I didnt feel like I did last year when he was out for origin/rest/injury. Carney and Robson are running the field well, Gal is just doing his tackling and running now, not getting flustered. You can't replace that heart he displays, but if we are only missing his tackling and hit ups, others just have to put in a little and we can get on without him. Its always great for a club when you lose your captain and lock, who is an international rep, and replace him with the nz lock. we r safe

it's good to see Gal's work ethic rubbing off on the other boys. Several of the forwards are putting in big performances at the moment, it's good to see. It's like when an electrician is a shady **** who does ***** hunts in customers' houses and his apprentice starts doing the same thing...except not quite as awesome. Ideally all the boys would try to be Gal every week and our forwards would just be impenetrable

Yesterdays game proved to me that we dont need to play gal for the full 80. he should now be given a rest each game to improve his impact and further his longevity with the sharks. Jez to captain team when gal is off the field..

Jez and Gibbs need to be on the field together when gal comes off

Well put.

I was a little disappointed in the boys last week against Souths. While I was proud they didn't drop their heads, they didn't really lift when Galls went off.

This week though they went hunting for the ***** in Galls absence and mate they found the big purple 13 incher! It took a while but they rummaged through mummsy's sock drawer and found the big battery operated monster and dismantled it with aggression and no doubt a clenched sphincter!

I hope Flanno doesn't let Gal play through injury anymore. It has cost us a number of games over the years...

If anything this weeks game against Melbourne has shown we have the depth and courage to do it in the fowards without him (at least in the short term)

Possible candidate for post of the year?

I also agree with the others saying Gal can come off now and then to rest.

Theres talk that Gal's knee could be a long term injury if he plays SOO.
I dont know about anyone else, I dont give 2 bobs about Origin. Especially if we might lose Gal for up to 10 weeks or even the season after...
