With question marks over BHU's fitness, and Toby starting off the bench in the last trial, I think we may run out like:

1. Kennedy
2. Katoa
3. Ramien
4. Talakai
5. Ronaldo
6. Trindall
7. Hynes
8. Kaufusi
9. Brailey
10. Hunt
11. Nikora
12. Wilton
13. Finucane

14. McInnes
15. Williams
16. Rudolf
17. Hazleton
I’m thinking this will be pretty spot on

If there's any team that could lose a game while ahead by 50 in the 79th minute, it's us.

It's not even the players, it's just cause it's us.

Yea but only the Tigers can lose it AFTER the full time whistle

Weirdly I think this year we will win games we didn’t expect and drop ones we should win.
We win this 20-14

I think if we win it could be more a case of the Warriors doing a Warriors (pre 2023) than the Sharks actually having their **** together

Have the NRL lifted the ban on us winning in Round 1 yet?

Wahs forum are very confident for this one. I don't blame them after riding high last year.

I think we have the side to match them, just can never be confident in Rd 1 as we never win it. If we are to win it, I think it will come through the advantages at fullback and the bench. If we run a bench of McInnes, Williams, Rudolf, and Hazleton that will be a huge amount of energy for other teams to handle. Just need to match them from the start. However, there will be a slight silver lining to watching AFB dominate us through the ruck this year.

Too true about AFB haha

Hopefully some of our boys decide to introduce themselves to him...

Round 1, away to a full Warriors stadium, them still riding last years high and not realised yet backing it up isn't easy, no BHU and Toby seemingly not 100% yet, weren't able to give our full spine a run together in trial
Yeah, I'm just hoping for a good showing from us and to not let ourselves be bullied or overrun. I think we are good enough to win, but fully expecting to lose.

Going to be weird experience cheering as our forwards pinball off him

Anyone hearing anything on Hynes' injury? @The Punisher , don't suppose you're working your magic fingers on his quad?

He was still in the rehab group with Dykes and BHU yesterday, or at least working with the physio alongside those guys. Not sure if that's just a session or altogether though.

Makes sense to baby it as much as possible for the moment, absolutely no need to rush it.

Probably almost more informative Blayke not there than Hynes is (now don't add 'oh yeah Blayke was there too' haha)

Yeah same as last year, if he misses round 1 so be it. Long season ahead and can't have him out for an extended period.

Blayke was not in this session.

So, do we think we’re a real chance with this one?

For those in Footy tip comps, are you backing us?

I would like to think it will be close but I can’t shake the feeling we’re going to get whomped here.

I'm normally the biggest Sharks optimist .
But would require a healthy Nicho AND Brailey to give a hopefully overconfident Warriors team a run for their money .
Either out - NAA

I tipped them and I won my tipping comp last year.

But then I tipped them every round so don’t take it as a guarantee they win.
The head says tip warriors.
