I know I took the side of bad look for the first video but even I don't give a **** about that one.
That all purely just looks like play. NRL would prefer it didn't happen but it doesn't look like any 'altercation' is occuring.

Wonder if the other video followed on from that, with Arey and Patty taking it a bit too far?
The media love a pre-season 'scandal', it's just a traditional part of the season launch now.

Well the players never fail to deliver!

Not the medias fault a horse pile gets more attention than some actual goss or intel about players/positions.

FRIDAY MARCH 8

New Zealand Warriors vs. Cronulla Sharks at Go Media Stadium, 6.00pm AEDT

Predicted Warriors team
: 1. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 2. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 3. Rocco Berry 4. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 5. Marcelo Montoya 6. Luke Metcalf 7. Shaun Johnson 8. Addin Fonua-Blake 9. Wayde Egan 10. Mitch Barnett 11. Kurt Capewell 12. Marata Niukore 13. Tohu Harris 14. Dylan Walker 15. Jackson Ford 16. Tom Ale 17. Bunty Afoa

Team Tips: Favourite son Roger Tuivasa-Sheck returns after a stint in rugby union and slots into the centres. Adam Pompey is the player who likely makes way with Rocco Berry the pick of those two last season. Andrew Webster has confirmed that Charnze Nicholl-Klokstad will stay at fullback. Luke Metcalf is the favourite to win the No.6 jersey over Te Maire Martin. Metcalf signalled he has a bright future after a promising 2023 which was cut short by injury. Shaun Johnson is an outside chance to miss round 1 (ankle). Kurt Capewell slots straight into the side after being poached from the Broncos, with Jackson Ford dropping to the bench.

Predicted Sharks team: 1. Will Kennedy 2. Sione Katoa 3. Jesse Ramien 4. Siosifa Talakai 5. Ronaldo Mulitalo 6. Braydon Trindall 7. Nicho Hynes 8. Braden Hamlin-Uele 9. Blayke Brailey 10. Toby Rudolf 11. Briton Nikora 12. Teig Wilton 13. Dale Finucane 14. Cameron McInnes 15. Royce Hunt 16. Tom Hazelton 17. Jesse Colquhoun

Not sure if this is via the same person as last time or if the media have gone sour on Jack.
I reckon Colquhoun has a good future but Jack had too strong a season not to be in the side.

No mention of possible BHU out which is interesting. Only source on that to date is the man himself - a great source unless he lied for some reason, or we were lied to.
Does line up with his recent return to running though

If he's not in the team for trial #2 hopefully some journo asks about him and there is a microphone nearby so we can get an answer from Fitz.

He was my patient when he got his knee done - was 6 weeks non weight bearing post surgery, and said to me he would only start running (which we saw a few weeks ago) towards end of pre season and would be aiming for a round 2-3 return

Yeah I'm still taking you by your word - but those other things are still possible, could still be lying now as much of a dick move as that'd be haha
Also possible is a quicker/better than expected recover, although you'd think many players air on the side of ambitious rather than cautious, so to beat his own estimate by 2-3 weeks would be uncommon.

So yeah at this stage based off info I have I'm expecting him not to be named round 1

Not like Sharks have been particularly forthcoming with medical info recently so not shocking it hasn't been reported

Just listening to shark cast and you can count that as source 2 confirming punishers mail. Sam said he's not sure if BHU will be fit for Rd 1.

To be clear I was more noting that the media seemingly hadn't picked up on than declaring if they have named him he must be good to go.

Appreciate the extra source though PS!

The media never know, unless it is Riccio, anything they say about the Sharks is pure speculation.

Jack's the forgotten man quite a lot. Due to his time out I suppose and not having quite cracked a string of games at his (current) highest level.

How's this for a hot crystal ball take? When Dale all but retires in 2025 Wado style, Cam will be the rotation lock alongside the 27/28 yo Talakai (with Iro at centre). A then 29 yo Jack will take a place in the front row rotation (and may even do so when BHU leaves ahead of Oregon who will still be a few years younger) and own it for a 2/3 years. Colquhoun gets a bench spot out of it all and a then 27 yo Hazelton is ready to own another front row rotation spot.

I think there's too many players here unless Oregon or someone drops off (like Toby medically retires his toe)...But I want Talakai at lock at some point so I'll hand it over to Fitz to make it work.

The player profile pages has been updated with current squad photos,

Not that we've ever had reasons to put stock on positions listed before but a few that stood out;

Nicho listed as 5/8
Mcinnes hooker
Colquhoun prop
