That's a great read. Thanks, egg.
That tackle on Mal

A turning point came early in the second half, when Meninga broke through near halfway and looked certain to score as he thundered down the right touchline. The diminutive Wright appeared out of nowhere and somehow floored the giant Australian centre just before the corner flag.

"People still want to talk about it," laughs Wright. "We had analysed Mal and knew if he breaks through, it was best to let him go and then get him from the side. I got under his fend and managed to take him down. He was off balance anyway [but] I still don't know how I got across there."

He doesn’t hold back much in this does he
We’re even a mess now apparently

While I’m not shocked by what’s in there I think the vibe is you usually don’t say a lot of it directly to the press
I found the backer case line odd..It was written 2015 I think, so yeah still getting our siht together

Read that headline as Flanno is running a Spine Off lol (which he kinda is anyway)

I think for the grind to work in the NRL now your discipline has to be absolutely spot on or you are going to come undone from 6 agains and sin bins

We gave away penalties intentionally and messed around in the ruck under Flanno but back then it worked to frustrate the opposition and we backed our strong defense

The grind didn't work that well for the Storm this season but Penrith do it well and seem to get away with alot of **** with the refs

Yeah the old style of grind will crush you under weight of opposition possession now.
Was always about efficiency but you could use bad discipline to your advantage before, you can't now.

Hunt talking up a premiership for Saints next year.

Dazzled by Flanno's teeth.
I support players being optimistic and backing themselves but I think that's a bit much from Hunt haha
