Oh boy, it’s a shocker.
Wishing this man nothing but the best, but it unfortunately might be the end of Paps. Even just from a mental perspective, it would have taken a resilient bloke to come back from that shattered knee and now facing doing that all again from a compound fracture.

As bad as it is for him personally, I’m not sure it affects their team much. They player all season long without him. He would have been a nice add if he got back to form, but wasn’t there yet.
Have they said about the HIAs? Surely Seve was Cat 1

Yow Yeh, yeah, not a guaranteed injury you can’t come back from but it’s a complex structure with full weight bearing so definitely can be a career ender. That tank of a tigers winger Taniela got done by it too form memory.
Will depend how many parts of the ankle are damaged and to what extent

Was Tuiaki a compound? Definitely a horrible ankle injury. Possibly the catalyst to get hip drops out of the game.

No, not really.
I snapped my Tib/fib (compound fracture) and was able to get back.
Admittedly it took nearly 9 months but that is without the constant medical, physio support that Paps will get.
He can come back from this. Might only be a couple of months and he might be running again depending on how they treat him (cast v surgery).
