Talk of 'live sites' for people who can't get tickets.

What is the attraction of live sites unless you don't own a TV? Lets go out to watch telly with a bunch of randoms seems weird.

Yeah agree I don’t get it, but not sure about rest of Australia but here in Melbourne the concept is bloody huge. Guess it started with the Oz open tennis and has just grew from there, rekon when we played England in World Cup the other week there would have been at least 5-6 massive open air venues on the go around Melbourne.

Tennis might of started it but football perfected it. Those live sites around the country during both world cups were insane.

I don’t know if it’ll work for Rugby League though.

Waste of time for our game this weekend. Only time it would work in RL is probably for a GF, especially a one team town.

Agree, it's awesome for some sports though.

I remember being at a live site in 2000 for the Olympics!
