The only reason he isnt “great” at fullback is because his coaches refuse to challenge him. Latrell can do things not many others can do, latrell would be easily the best fullback in the game if his attitude was more about the 80 minutes and not a couple of moments.
Agree, but not only “being challenged” but also his fitness as he seems to go missing due to fitness (from what I’ve noticed)

Could be due to his injuries TBF

Push him too hard he'll pack it in. Phenomenal on his day but life as a coach would be hard enough without his bullshit. But I suppose a bit like Barber for us if it pays off just 1 season you're laughing with the trophy.

No the only reason he isn't 'great' is because HE has a poor attitude and is lazy

No coach should ever have to hit his highest paid representative star with a cattle prodder

First bit is speculation. We don't know whether he has a poor attitude or not.

On the second bit, Wayne Bennett has spoken about this previously at the Broncos. I'm paraphrasing here... "Sometimes the best players aren't the best trainers, and the coach has to make adjustments. Different players have different personalities and you can't treat them all the same".

I can't say for sure, but at the time it was implied he was talking about Lockyer.

Flanno is now starting to spin his web.

Reports are he is chasing Manu from the roosters with the promise of him playing in the 1 jersey. Ben Hunt has confirmed he will be staying after meeting with a Flanno also.

He’s already cleared 1.5 mil off the books apparently. With more to come. I reckon in 2 years time there will be less than 10 players from their current roster still there. Rest will be gone.
If Manu was going to leave the Roosters to play fullback, he would have signed with the Warriors last time his contract was up.

I think its pretty obvious now Manu isn't a centre tonguing to be a fullback (or 5/8) fulltime. A big money high pressure spine position at a weaker club might not be his cuppa tea.

Well thats whT i mean by not being challenged. His coaching staff seem to be happy enough with his fitness and weight, but **** it looks like if he shed a few kgs and had a little more involvement in the 1%ers he would be near unstoppable. I think the coach needs to kind of challenge him to be better

Its not about his attitude, Latrell actually works extremely hard in his training. People judge him on his gut, but its not uncommon at all for some of the indigenous boys to have a bit of pudge no matter how cardio fit they are.

If the club wanted him lighter, he’d be lighter, he would have training and dietry plans to support that move.

Right now its his involvement. Souths really seem ok with it, but are they actually? He seems to be ok with being the no look pass hero but he needs to get more involved.

If your coach isnt challenging their highest paid or highest profile players when they play sub-par then the coach isnt worth a pinch of piss in the first place
