Ohhhh yep. Thanks mate. Think we were talking about this last year saying it needs to go back to June 30 cause August 1st is July ridiculous considering how late in the season it is.

Is not August 1st. It’s the first Monday in August. That was 1st last year but will be 7th this year.

Would be a ripper if we cld get a seasoned Prop on the cheap by Aug 1, would instantly increase our top 4 finish chances. I've been against him, but as a stop gap for '23 given our front row stocks/injuries, someone like Lodge
I was loosening up on Lodge but his mediocre form and now demands seeing him dropped permanently to reserve grade are not a good look.
While they are in a bit of a mess currently the Roosters have been one of the premier sides for a long time - if they discard someone that is worth taking note of.
If you want to poach a prop you ideally need someone who is either off contract this year or next year (via upgrade/extension) and playing for a struggling club.
Both years middles who would be both gettable and worthwhile are super shallow. Realistically very few would be worth it unless you had more of an injury crisis than we already have. TPJ probably the one who could most realistically impact a side.
The other trick is to sign them for 24 and that gives you a bit more leverage to get them early but that would maybe be like Liam Knight at best.
