My Tigers' mate rates him very highly.
There’s definitely a player there. Think under a good coach who used him correctly he could become a pretty good player. Lots of injuries unfortunately haven’t helped his case of securing a full time stop in the 17.

Imo he’s worth having a go at.

with where he is at in his career I think he would sign with us knowing he would be the 3rd second rower In our 17. Would be very handy off the bench for us. And wouldn’t cost a lot either I wouldn’t think.

Only issue isn’t injuries, believe there is some off-field stuff that is less than ideal
In saying that has avoided major trouble and maybe has moved past it

If I’m pulling strings at the Sharks I’m trying my all to get Ben Hunt

I’d be trying to move Moylan, Finucane and Graham behind the scenes, Im sorry Tricky but a Hunt/Hynes combo is premiership winning material overnight

Being ruthless at the right times can be crucial to a clubs success, those 3 players can be well and truly accounted for within

Hunt would be amazing, for sure.
I still think it'd be a terminal struggle with the cap, even moving those guys on (I'd also say we're not going to be moving Dale on any time soon).

Absolutely- that would be an unreal signing. Could use Trindall off the bench if those blokes you mention make way.

Agree no chance Fitz let’s go of Dale.

Graham should make way though, it’s clear he has already played on too long. Moylan still doing a job , good enough to be an nrl player but not good enough for where we want to get to

Isn't this his last year under contract? Pretty easy to not keep him.

Just make Hunt an offer, doesnt have to be a lucrative amount, as long as we pursue him or show interest. Give him a 3 yr contract and show him the plans/direction the club is going, how they are planning to win another title and what they have planned for him being part of it. The culture set up now and the type of players in the squad could also be appealing, compared to all the off field inhouse drama dragons have had. We also have a coach who has signed long term, so theres stability there. Might join us for less just to win a title before retirement, we are not far off, just need someone like him to partner Hynes.

Seems like the type that likes to be roughed up a bit, so all I'd add to your suggestion would be to put the heavy on him a touch.

Ben Hunt is 33 - 34 in march. No way would i be offering him a 3 year contract.
