Marcus Greenwood’s charges have been dropped.

Just a reminder that having charges dropped doesn’t always necessarily mean someone is innocent. Keep that in mind.

Listening to the audio, pretty clear he’s a tool.

It’s going to be interesting to see how Utd handle this.

I don’t think he comes back anytime in the short term. United are smart enough to realise the PR nightmare that would bring and Ten Hag is smart enough to realise what kind of a distraction that would bring to the overall squad.

In saying that, down the track, who knows. In the eyes of the British law, he has no case to answer, so United would be in their legal rights to bring him back, but come on, we all saw the tapes and photos, and we all know that when police drop a case like this one it doesn’t always mean someone is innocent, it sometimes mean a payoff has happened.

Morally speaking I want him nowhere near the team.

One of the quotes from the British Police about the collapsed case:
“Withdrawal of key witness means there is no longer a realistic chance of conviction in this case”

That to me sounds like that key witness is the victim and she has been paid off by Greenwood to drop the charges. Could be wrong but that’s how I see it.

Glad you boys are saying this. Regardless of his talent, you can’t excuse his actions

Nope. Need to cut him loose. Realistically, if he wants to keep playing football, I think a move to the continent or elsewhere is his only option.

Got a sneaky suspicion the club wants to loan him to an overseas club for next season and hope the anger will ‘blow over’.

Here's the thing. I'm speaking from a purely selfish viewpoint in many ways, i.e. I want Utd to NOT have to deal with the inevitable media storm, fan outrage and moralistic grandstanding that would just go on and on and on should the club decide to reinstate him.
What is fact and what is belief is pretty immaterial at this stage. Plenty of people have listened to the audio and seen the pictures and made up their minds what they believe, regardless of the fact that the only two people who REALLY KNOW what went down are MG and his partner. I know what I BELIEVE (essentially I believe he is a scumbag)) but I am also respectful of the premise of law that presumes the natural state of anyone before the law is innocent till PROVED guilty. However difficult that can be to swallow at times, it is one of the most fundamental premises of our way of life and I am glad of that.
And this is where Utd have to be careful, as employment law (not criminal law, as he has no criminal case to answer now) would dictate just what they can potentially dismiss him for.

When does Klopp start feeling some pressure? It’s very fair to say Liverpool have severely underachieved. I get that Klopp has credit in the bank so to speak, but this league season has been very poor.

I still think they’re capable of digging themselves out of this and challenge for top 4, that team is too good not to, but that idea is waning week by week.

I’ve never been a fan of sacking a manager because of one bad season, particularly someone like Klopp. He deserves time to fix things, this season is a write off.

If we sack him, who do we bring in that is better?

We’ve also had our fair share of injuries to key players.. Diaz, Jota, VVD, Konate..

Great results for Man United. A win and people dropping points around them.
I triple captained Rashford this week in my FPL (double game week of Palace and Leeds both at Old Trafford) and also brought Fernandes into my team. Very happy with that decision.

Possible points deductions or expulsion from the league are possible punishments.

They’ll get a slap on the wrist though, CFG’s blood money in the right pockets should make this go away.
