Scotland is definitely the new home away from home for Australian football. The below list are the Aussies currently plying their trade in the Scottish Premier League, most of which are Socceroos, and two coaches:

James Jeggo (Hibernian)
Martin Boyle (Hibernian)
Lewis Miller (Hibernian)
Ange Postecoglou (Celtic Manager)
Aaron Mooy (Celtic)
Harry Kewell (Celtic Assistant Manager)
Kye Rowles (Hearts)
Cameron Devlin (Hearts)
Garang Kuol (Hearts - on loan from Newcastle United)
Nathanial Atkinson (Hearts)
Aziz Behich (Dundee United - although heavily linked with a move to Galatasaray, Turkey)
Mark Birighitti (Dundee United)
Keanu Baccus (St Mirren)
Ryan Strain (St Mirren)
Phillip Cancar (Livingston)
Ryan McGowan (St Johnston)

We could be adding another one to the list. Bailey Wright is being linked with a move to Hibernian and Aberdeen from Sunderland. In Bailey’s case this feels like a backward step however considering Sunderland are in the mix for promotion to the Premier League.

Former Man United, Everton and French International midfielder Morgan Schniederlin is apparently about to sign with WS. Thats a great get for them if they can keep him fit, BUT, its not really what they need. They were fine at CDM, they needed forwards and a 10. (In saying that they’re apparently linked with a Columbian striker).

We were talking about a-league crowd sizes since the world cup earlier and this article sheds some good light on just how utterly useless they are.

A certain decision to sell out the league by selling out the Grand Finals by the APL probably didnt help. Don’t discount how many people are disillusioned by how the league is being run after a decision like that. Especially now they’re cracking down on active support.

The FFA are in negotiations with Ecuador to bring them over in the March International window for two matches. One in Sydney and one in Melbourne. If they’re unable to agree on two matches, Malaysia could step in for one of them and that game moved to Perth.

Just want to point out that Sam Kerr has scored 82 goals in her 100 appearances for Chelsea, that strike rate is insane. Cannot wait for her to get her due spotlight down here at the World Cup this year.

Love to see us win it, she deserves it.
