You're the only 1 talking about commitment and effort. Like bort said he's a free spirit kinda guy who'll go where the wind takes him. That's not a knock on him at all.

"a foot halfway out the door" doesn't mean 'keen to leave' or 'not buying in'. Unlike most who I'd be confident retaining them if our deal lined up with other offers, I could see Toby just going to try something else cause he wants to.
Having a foot out the door literally means to lack commitment, eager to leave.

Tyrone May also linked to the dogs. May as well move stadiums and just play out of Penrith.

Good thing I said "halfway out the door" then. That changes the meaning to whatever I said. Check it in the Dictionary of Common Phrases That Don't Have Literal Meanings Defined.

He's like a good door to door salesman.
He certainly hasn't stepped through the door by any definition and isn't trying to, but if you tried to close it you'd find some well placed toes keep that from happening.

Dogs have signed Spencer and Tyrone May from 2024. They reckon they still have plenty of cash. What BS !

Dead to me now ;)
Now Toby's off to Rabbits ;)
I've moved on
We go this instead

A powerhouse prop, Leniu is a former junior New South Wales representative but also played for Samoa at the Rugby League World Cup in England, featuring in five games.

The 22-year-old could expect a salary increase on his next deal for 2024 and beyond, but he will also be looking for a role that can fit his building reputation and resume, rather than continuing to come off the bench at the Panthers.

Bloke on Instagram posted it. Mikes Rugby Chat or something. He’s got a very good strike rate this guy and seems to have this confirmed from multiple sources from the dogs.

I’d take him.

He’s like a Talakai but in a prop version, has that energy we lack

If Soufs want Rudolf they can give us Tatola. Nothing short of that.

The player market is screwed because of this extra team. The gap between top and bottom teams was already huge after Covid, now there is an extra team and not good players to sign to support it. Basically we are doing well by not losing players. Most of the other good teams have lost starting side players already (Roosters notably have replaced Taukeiaho and Verrills well). Cowboys haven't either but then again their side is sort of a fluke with all the gun local juniors they have being on huge unders, which won't last long.

Cant see Doga retaining Luke Thompson for 2024.
Criminally under utilised last couple of seasons there.
Has potential to be the best front rower in the game amd still only 27

I'm looking at it in a different way mate. Because clubs are being raided they are more focused than ever on their junior pathways and development. They now see the value of having a production line of new players at lower salaries who might stick together or replace poached positions. It's how clubs are being successful nowadays.
