Ive got no issue in us letting this bloke go.

Yes hes fast, but he can only step from his right foot (From what i saw) and subsequently runs other players off the ball as result.

Shows that we have faith in Dykes, who was far more impressive for us imo and a better long term prospect.

Miller also let us down massivly in the semi vs Bunnies and got stood up 1:1 on more than one occasion.

Neither are finished products, but if you are picking between a 28yo and 20yo who are at similar levels currently, you take the younger bloke.

The winner here is Miller. He turned an fringe opportunity at 27 into a full-time gig in the NRL. Great to see a guy have success like that, and credit to Fitz for seeing the potential and helping to develop him.

Yeah Miller might be the winner, but it shows us Fitz has a good eye for a gamble that paid off and also shows potential gambles Fitz is a coach who can help them make something of their effort. Could help us land some other good contributors (or perhaps better) in the future.

If he keeps it up, he might even approach Bomber levels.

Hopefully we can organise a 3-way trade or something. Newcastle's roster is trash, nothing there that they would give up that would suit us.

they do, they got a couple of young forwards, leo thompson, mat croker, simi sasagi and pasami saulo

any of those coming our way i would be ok

they also want tyson frizell gone, bring him home to retire

I understand the negatives around Tyson that have been put forward but my hunch is that he would be very useful for us ..

I don't think Friz would need to come cheap. If the Sharks have the room wouldn't you rather Frizzel than a depth player and a bunch of unused cap space? In fact, if that's going to be their only move between now and the start of the season, why not pay him as much as possible this year and put in a second year (or club option) that is cheaper?

He is a healthy 31 year old who has played 20 games each of the last two years with a bunch of hopeless jokes. I'd have him in a flash for his ability and get his experience as a bonus.

I guess if we have a heap of money (which presumably we must if we were in for Klemmer) it makes more sense - opportunity cost of splashing it now on Friz vs holding it in case another opportunity opens up (someone finds themselves on the outter with coach towards mid season for example).

Friz isn't so good anymore he is a player we simply can't afford to miss out on. He's still good, just not as good as he used to be.
Also an awkward fit into our side which complicates things. If we hadn't re-signed Graham then a former rep edge who can also fill into middle would be a great fit. Of course with injuries assured it's not like he wouldn't still get on the park a lot.
I like Friz and wouldn't complain, I just don't think we need him unless terms are favourable (or at least, suit our cap position).

Prefer to front load a few contracts this year if that's still allowed to free up cash for next year.
