Has there been a more inexperienced player to win the dally m? Greg Alexander won it in his second full year, probably beats him, but who’s next? Nicho?
Different award but Ewan McGrady won the Rothman's in his second year.

Brandy wins if we are talking about Dally M. A few young blokes won the Rothmans.

A few players and games played prior to their award winning season. There are probably others who I missed.

Ewan McGrady, Rothmans Medal 1991 - (16 Games played)
Barry Russell, Rothmans Medal 1988 - (18)
Mark Sargent, Rothmans Medal 1989 - (19)
Paul Green, Rothmans Medal 1995 - (22)
Greg Alexander, Dally M 1985 - (23)
Preston Campbell, Dally M 2011 - (26)
Nicho Hynes, Dally M 2022 - (36)
Ben Barba, Dally M 2012 - (53)

Campbell's win was super impressive when you consider he played 7 games on the wing that season, and like Hynes he had only started one game in the halves in his career prior to that.

I was unsure if this was a (has played for) Sharks list or a general one for a minute there

Yeah - lots of Sharks on the list. Those are the guys I thought of, so having more Sharks on the list than anyone else is really just me remembering those blokes instead of others. I should add Greg Alexander too, since someone mentioned him on the previous page. He actually had played one less game than Campbell.

When do we start looking to extend this bloke? Yes he’s only 1 year into a 3 year deal. But if this bloke starts the first 6-8 games on hire do we look at trying to add an additional 2 years on his contract? Or should we wait until he’s into his 3rd year.

I feel this bloke could explode in the next 12 months and will look at offers over 1 mil a year.
