With release of 2023 Sharks memberships within the next couple of weeks & the Sharks faithful being asked to renew well in advance of the new season just wanted to understand if any other Diamond & Platinum members felt that the value provided for their outlay in 2022 was underwhelming even allowing for any Covid restrictions.

It would also be good to understand if those with concerns have raised them with the club.

No , referring to the benefits indicated as being part of Diamond & Platinum packages at additional cost to a straight reserved seat member's package .
What extra benefits do you get? I've never had that level of membership.

Yes, it was disappointing, but I think between the Covid situation until mid-year, and Ben Ross moving on at a critical time, it was sort of understandable. The polo shirt did happen at least. I think the value was still fair for Platinum members, but I imagine Diamond members would have felt let down.

The main difference between the Platinum & Diamond add on packages is that Diamond members basically paid in advance for Platinum Options on top of their reserve seat cost & most of those options didn't happen in 2022 with little communication to date .

Membership Packages + Prices have been released:

Prices have gone up a bit, looks like about 8% on one package in Monty Porter Stand. Probably fair enough though, as prices didn't increase much when we moved back from Kogarah.

Access to all Newtown Henson Park games except Beer/Footy/Food Festival is included (I don't remember that previously?).

Also access to NRLW games.

Platinum memberships have some new features:
  • NEW: 1 Ticket to our Coffs Coast home game
  • NEW: 1 Ticket to a Cronulla Sharks Away game of your choice
  • NEW: Printed copy of the 2023 Membership Handbook (????)

Yes, I have found out that my seats have increased considerably from last year but more so to the fact 2022 was heavily discounted to allow for the Covid impact on the 2021 season. We paid $764 for three seats (2 adults and 1 junior in the ET Upper) for last year and this year the bill is $1290!! An increase of $526. Understandable why this has happened but still...

Yeah I had some discounted carry-over seats, and some new seats last year... I based the 8% off the new seats.

It is hard committing to seats (well the number of seats) without seeing the draw, but no other option really!

$40 odd dollars to sit in the ET stand every home game where you can see the whole field and flex on GA gang opposed to $20 odd dollars to stand on a damp hill with a **** view (NWE is ok) and stare at the ground TV to see wtf is going on every week...

I've never run the numbers until now but ET stand (or PB stand) actually sounds like much better value in terms of comfort and viewership experience and it's not like you are so high up that you can't get a feel for the atmosphere or anything.

Prices on everything is going up at this point obviously, the footy won't be any different. They aren't gunna take a cut on their margins for fear of turning away a couple of fans from attending or renewing.

Central Banks around the world printed money like it was bog roll for Taco Bell while Putin felt Russia was a tad claustrophobic.
Now you gotta pay a bit more to drink mid strength and watch a bloke in fluro cost you a game between 2 teams of overpaid labourers

Should see the prices for AFL memberships, they're stupid high, and they sell out.

Demons have an 'Armchair Membership' where all you get is counted towards the membership tally, and 40% off a single purchase at the store. That's all and it's costs $90.

Overseas membership costs $190 and all you get it access to watch AFL.com games on your phone.

If you use it, NRL membership is generally value for money. Not including pet memberships 🙄

Friend of mine pays about 1000 for 2 scg members + 2 guests. Means only two tickets to the big games like the ashes, but includes all swans and chooks games assuming aleague too. Plus access to all the gyms and pools in the area.

The value is absolutely astronomical compared to what we pay and receive.
