I have to admit, “The pact” that the eels made to each other at the start of the year might come to fruition.

IIRC, they made a packed to play/win the GF with so many exiting at the end of the year.

Only one game left, but even if they don’t win, their promise to each other got them to the GF at the very least

Not sure that has much to do with it. The Tigers players have made a pact to make the finals the last 10 years... and look how that's turned out

If your coaching Parra on GF night, do you give Nathan Brown a message to take Cleary out with a high shot. At least he misses 15 mins for Hia.

Do you think these days are gone or these messages are still given.

I've posted before how easy it is for a "hitman" now. Before you'd have to do something severe enough to make a guy stop playing a GF & that would basically be accepting a send off + 12wks. Now a highshot that'll risk 10mins is almost guaranteed to get rid your victim for minimum 15min & no matter how tough he is a doc 30kms away in a bunker will call his day early at the sign of a stumble.

Not sure I'd hunt Cleary he's pretty well protected & getting him would need to be late & blatant. Rattling Yeo's cage would be my go, Junior Barlow just dropping 120kg of guts on his head in a flopping tackle could do it.

Yeah but if you do it too well you’re likely a man down for 10 or even the remainder of the game.

You can't be that obvious it reaches send off stakes in a GF. I'd play with 12 for 10 if it meant no more Yeo. Don't need to actually **** him up just enough for the doc to pull the trigger. It's a risk but so is going another 36yrs without a prem
