I think a Fit Miller Better than an Underdone Kennedy at FB, any game, whoever we play.
That I'd agree with.

Think he let too many kicks bounce to make Fitz seriously consider keeping him over Kennedy though.

We played sides his running game looked great against and his errors didn't get punished.

As a knock on Kennedy it was a closer call than it had any right to be but I do think that was inflated as much by Miller's easy run as concerns about Kennedy.
Don't think when Fitz brought Kennedy back in he thought we'd let a pasty red head run round like 4 people and he'd need his own one to stop him.

Miller has potential but what has he shown us that makes him a better option than Kennedy at this moment in time?

Right now he's faster. That's it. I'm as disappointed with Kennedy as anyone, but him being wrong doesn't make Miller right.
We've been working on making Kennedy a great firstgrade fullback for what, 3 seasons now? There's people who are saying Will has failed and in the same breathe calling on Fitz to stick a rubgy 7's convert in after a handful of (mixed) games to organise our defence well, be great positionially against kicks, know when and where to support, ballplay like an extra 5/8 and make one-on-one goalline tackles. with no sense of irony.

kennedy didnt fail, he had a good season

he was underdone, had a shoulder and ankle injury and was not mentally prepared for contact in either of the finals games
Will must be seeing Moylan's mental coach from 2022.
He looked timid out there, which isn't a great look for a firstgrader.

Heard an interesting rumour from Buzz today. He said that Fitz told him he loves Miller as a player and clubman, and his priority is to keep him if possible. They will be looking at our cap situation to see if a similar 3 year deal to what Newy are offering could be accommodated with us to provide him that financial stability.

Did we have an idea of what that offer looked like?

Honestly, I'd be more then keen to see him stay, I really rated him as a good backline utility when he played last year, the question imo being, where is his best backline position for us & where is he likely going to get the most minutes when needed?

I don't see where you play him. He is a fullback, 5/8, bench utility and he is not first choice in any of these positions.
