I like Miller and he's exciting to watch - but so is Matt Dufty.

All depends what kind of fullback you want.

Kennedy adds so much fluidity to our attack. IMO we're a classier team with him on the field.
I like the Gliding runs, makes me Peachey Nostalgic. I think Miller and to a lesser extent Dykes, are fantastic, but Pinch hitters at this stage. Although i would like Miller in the team somewhere, come finals time.

Definitely a pinch hitter.

Third choice FB and fourth choice winger at best.

No way he should be in team come finals time unless injuries.

Having Miller and Dykes on his heels has got to make Kennedy up his game , he will know he can't just expect to play when fit . Miller and Dykes are going to improve with this seasons experience and going into next , so the ball is in Kennedy's hands , if he doesn't improve again he might not be that automatic first choice . It is a great position to be in for the us , pressure on every position makes a better team .

I don't see either moving Kennedy this year once he's fit.

Next year is a different story but even then I think Dykes is the only one who will likely move Kennedy, and that might not be till 2024 anyway as Dykes has more development to do.

I like Miller but he's our 3rd string fullback.

Yes i see Kennedy coming straight back in when fit , simply because he knows our attacking structure much better and is an integral part of it , also he is the incumbent and entitled to that respect , and Fitz has shown that loyalty to others .
Bit there is room for improvement in certain areas and having that pressure ensures that he has to make that effort , the position is his to lose .

In general, finals are mostly won by defence. Kennedy's goal line "D" is not good.

To be fair, I haven't seen enough of Dykes and Miller to make a judgement on their defensive capabilities, but I reckon it couldn't be as bad. The argument that the rest of the team should have tackled the attacking player before getting to Kennedy does not hold up. In other words, the Fullback can miss as many tackles as he likes without shouldering any responsibility.

Good Fullbacks like Teddy, Tommy T and Edwards rarely miss crucial try saving tackles (Yeah, occasionally they do), but they are generally very solid in defence. Kennedy is miles behind those 3 when it comes to "D".

I have no doubt that William will come straight back into the side when he is fit, but experience doesn't count for much if goal line defence is poor.

Well it could be, in fact I think you meant to say it couldn't be worse.

While stats don't tell the whole number he actually has the same tackle efficiency as Teddy (69%)

Turbo 81%, Edwards 83%

Dykes 81%

Statistically speaking Latrell is actually the best defender at 89%

Edwards weighs 94kg
Tedesco weighs 95kg
Tommy Turbo weighs 102kg

Lachie Miller weighs 84kg
Will Kennedy weighs 88kg

Wasn't able to find stats on Dykes but I don't think he'd yet be as big as the 3 that you mentioned from other clubs.

Big things run over the top of smaller things, unless the smaller things get some help. It's just the way the universe works unfortunately.

It's not just stuff like tackle efficiency, it's a lot of being about to get to where you need to be. The Guthersons and Tedescos do, the Latrells not so much

Having watched them play for the Jets, I can say for sure that both Dykes and Miller have plenty of work to do on their defence. Kennedy is currently a significantly better defender than each of them.

I've heard the Jets play on much greener grass though.

3 tries in 6 NRL games
2 tries in 16 Cup games

(separate note but he's also converting at 90% in Cup, but I don't know what those kicks are like and it's only small sample size 9/10)

mmm this guy or Tracey as the Utility? Tracey for extra experience i'm guessing will be Coaches decision, but we Lachy has not put a foot wrong, and also wont let us down.( except if playing wing)

If Will is playing - Tracey for me. Can slot into any backline position.
