His energy returning the ball will be missed too. That said both Tracey and Ikavalu are good in that area too.

Yeah, I'm sure Tracey has the returns covered. He's a tough, energetic little nugget (who's looking more and more like Gal's love child every day).
My only real concern is the drop in finishing ability. Katoa's a master at finding the stripe in traffic and tight space.

Covid delayed Grand Final - Sione can make it!

I'm already dreading the moments in narrow corridors close to the corner post where I will be thinking ffs Sione would have got us 4 points there

Tracey goes well but he ain't an elite finisher at the level of Sione so he gotta make up for that in other areas but I don't know what those areas will be other than outright pace and energy cause Sione is a very good all round player now and has Tracey covered in every aspect of Wing play

Well that's why Sione is a regular starter and Tracey is backup but I am grateful Tracey is decent backup and not a pleb from the farm league

I've already had that talk with myself

"yeah he might miss a few sexy finishes but he is good in other ways and he is the backup so it's not fair to expect him to do as well. Katoa is one of the leagues best finishes but we know Tracey will try his arse off and will still be great for us"

But I know it's still gunna hurt when it happens

Maybe this is Traecy's real breakthough moment. I can imagine he's flinging himself over and over through the air towards the inch of in-goal closet to the cornerpost and planting the ball with a satisfying 'splurt' each time as we speak.

It'd be so satisfying to see him kill it with a few acrobatic finishes. Best of luck to you Tracey, I hope white men can jump.

With Ramien form he doesn't need to pass anyway
Hmm… a lot of “Ramien doesn’t pass” posts lately, coupled with “Sifa passes to his winger better than most”.

I reckon it’s not as bad as that. Ramien has his faults but he is decent at positioning his winger.

It's recency bias from the game a few weeks ago where he didn't put Katoa away two or three times.

It's not like it's a major thing.

In your head, rent free
people wanted ramien to pass the ball to katoa for his first try last week, which is stupid until you read who wanted the pass

katoa gets bundled into touch, ramien scores

their combination is a huge part of our success and they understand each other so well, hopefully tracey can service us this week then bring iro in for the run home to the finals
