It's impressive that we won.

More missed tackles and ineffective tackles
Less posession
More mistakes
Worse completion rate
Less line breaks
Less tackle breaks

Amazing with all these negative stats, a lot to work on

I think your looking at this with blue, black and white goggles and its clouding your view a bit. We are making a mountain of errors weekly. We are far from clinical. We threw the Penrith game away and we rode our luck against Souths. We need to improve. A LOT. There is absolutely no guarantee that we dont drop a game going into the finals.
Of course I do :) I do not have any other goggles ;)

Joking aside, for the last one month before every game I kept saying we may lose this one and my wife kept saying "we're gonna win". We know what has happened. I do not know what it is but may be there is something special brewing or may be our team just got on the good sides of the footy gods. Who would have thought Latrell would miss 3 field goals last night? I do not know his stats but it would not surprise me if those were the only 3 golden point kicks he missed this year.

We do have lots of errors and we do make dumb mistakes. No one is denying that or saying everything is perfect. On top of all that, the refs are so inconsistent, it is hard to predict anything. However, we keep going on, we keep winning and we are becoming a pretty exciting footy team that just does not go away. May be it is as Fitzy said, we are finding out who we are and I like who we are becoming.

I agree with you that there is no guarantee that we do not drop any games. Yet, there is no guarantee that we will either.

The other teams know that it does not matter if they are dominant during the game because our defense is also getting better. We are much more desperate this year. On top of that, if we make it to the other end, there is a good chance we score. It does not matter if you are Titans or Panthers we score, and we score easily. Especially when we are switched on, we are a nightmare for any defense.

I do not know; there is just something about this year and what this team is becoming that makes me positive and excited.

Burgess was a clear send off for mine. It was a forceful swinging arm, and worse yet it was his second for the game. Easy decision for the red as a bin or send off was the same result anyway.
For me too but I think the ref was not going to do it. The loud reaction kind of "forced" him to do so.

Just watched the replay as didn’t get to watch the game live, geez we were sloppy and very lucky.

It’s our best season since 2016 but we aren’t half the team we were back then.
We had genuine superstars in key positions in 2016. This team is a couple of seasons shy of reaching full potential but the building blocks are in place .

Right now we have Too many sloppy errors handing the ball back to the opposition .

We could get found out in the pressure cooker of finals footy.

We've had seasons in the last decade where we lost heaps of games by small margins. This year we're winning a lot of games by small margins. Makes me wonder whether it's luck, determination, self belief? Or is it the sign of a good team?

Excellent points mate, very true.

Just an amusing little side note from Saturday night. Some of you might not know, but Buzz Rothfield sits in the Upper ET each home game and for the past few home games now I’ve noticed something that can’t be coincidence.

When you come down from the ET stand there’s a pathway that heads towards the exits and now for the third time in a row I’ve seen Rothfield stationed there looking at his phone but watching everyone walking out of the stand.

He's not fooling me, it’s nothing other than a “Hey look at me, I’m Buzz Rothfield” moment. Unfortunately some people do recognise him and he laps up the attention.

You'd think he'd want to stay incognito as he's not that popular with Sharks fans.
Would have been funny if Scomo & Albo were there watching together.

He is reading our game day posts to work out what he is going to write in his column.
