Even though he gave away 2 stupid penalties I felt like we lost momentum when Hunt was hooked.
Agreed, those penalties aside I thought he was very good for us and we scored all our points in his first stint too

He was part of our great start but unfortunately his two penalties part of Penrith getting back into game

Not Sure
Hunt stuffed up HEAPS
Maybe better from the bench ( needs to concentrate playing short stints ) ?

Anyway has that Kikau ever actually taken it to anyone his own size? I cant wait til he goes to Canterbury and gets found out for the overrated POS he really is when he plays with a **** pack.

all our errors smh!!!🤦‍♂️
can't believe we let ourselves down like that!

Penrith was just better tonight. fewer errors wanted it more. attacked so much better
hence they are where they are. on top of the ladder

Fifita just been bullying lesser teams?

Should have had Tolman there tonight?
Especially given BHU back can share impact role with Hunt now

I think we can play more better than we did than they can play better than they did though

But as I’ve said I think our offence is high risk high reward so we are a lot more variable than they are

We showed we can mix it with the best tonight. Stayed in the game and still shows the boys they have work to do. Plenty of time to get it right for the finals. Our defence is so much better this year.

We play them in the finals and we can beat them I think.
Feels of the Melbourne loss in late 2016.
Really dumb to let them score in the opening set of that second half.
Less errors and we win, simple as that.

We went to the toughest place to play footy, against a team that have lost a handful of (non-origin period) games in the last couple years... and all but but held them to two tries. Last year the beat us 48-0.

Too many errors? Fatigue does that and we did plenty of defence in the first half.

Onwards and upwards!

I was willing to accept 1/3 against the top teams last three games. We ended up with 2 x 13+ wins and a competitive loss to the premiers. Pretty happy with that.

Yep good timing I think.

If the ball bounced our way and we'd jagged a win we would not have learned the lessons we learned tonight.

Panthers were also desperate enough to start pulling some tricks from their bag. We've seen those tricks now.

They weren't at their best tonight, nowhere near it imo. We defended really well but if we play like that against them in the finals the scoreline won't be so flattering imo.

Yep. Penrith gave us a 30 minute start and still ran us down pretty comprehensively

Panthers were **** scared but just held their nerve. We had them rattled.

Big plus for us going forward is Wade Graham improving every week. If he's at the best he can be at his age come finals it will make an enormous difference. He's a class player when he's fit and willing and I thought he was monumentous in defence today.

Doesn’t offer much in attack but we didn’t really use our edge too much except as line runners before he came back either
Better for Talakai to get early ball than wait to play off Graham too although perhaps worth mixing it up a bit more of in game Sifa clearly targeted
