cowboys draw is very friendly, i think they will finish above us

making so much cash from it now i dont have time to think

its hard sitting at home all day getting paid for a 20 minute show
It's quite a story and I'd love to learn more. How did you go about amassing that 330 strong facebook army?

In some seriousness, props for getting to the 4-5k views you guys are hitting for your shows. You've done what most can't - stick it out long enough to get a following. I even listened to your podcast the other day (I watched Outlaws once but it was **** so I stopped) and was surprised by how little you sounded like an ignorant ********. Keep it up... I actually think you could make this a thing that's worth being a thing

Surely it must be 50% dead air these days, I listed to a couple I think it was early last year and the amount of ranting about Chad Townsend was absolutely unbearable. Bad enough reading it in here I didn't need the audiobook edition

I'm the same, the incessant Chad bashing turned me right off when they started. I occasionally tune in when they are both together, but there are too many solo pods to follow consistently. I find it hard to listen to any podcast no matter the content if it's just one person rattling off their thoughts.

This is exactly how I feel about it. Snowy sounds somewhat more reasonable in real life than he does in his forum posts.

Neither show is my cup of tea, but good on those two blokes for sticking with it and making some coin.

Maroons model: Sharks eye Queensland plan to shut down Panthers playmakers

They might be riding a five-game winning streak but Cronulla players know their Premiership credentials will face the ultimate test this week when they take on defending premiers Penrith.

The first team to take on the defending champs at full-strength since the start of the Origin period, Cronulla were given a first-hand look at how to silence the Panthers playmakers throughout the Origin series, with Queensland gaining the ascendancy through their control of the middle in the Maroons' victories.

Sharks forward Cameron McInnes said the challenge of winning the ruck was crucial for his side, and would be dictated by how well his team controlled possession.

“For me, holding the footy and kicking it back to the other team, everything comes off the back of that so that’s something we need to sort out,” McInnes told the media on Tuesday.

"I don’t think we were that good on the weekend [against the Cowboys] — our completion rates weren’t up to standard. The goal line defence the last few weeks has been outstanding from us, but as much as that’s a strength of ours, there’s only so many times you can give the team the ball on your line.

“You need hold the footy, kick it back to them and you front up in defence.

“When they’re down there we’ll back ourselves and turn them away but something is going to give eventually so we need to make sure we don’t just keep giving teams opportunities there.

“Everyone in the NRL is strong and runs physically and they’re no different but the thing that Penrith do is they do it for longer than a lot of teams," he said.

"That will be the challenge for us.”

Having spent time in Blues camp throughout Origin, Sharks forward Dale Finucane saw firsthand the control that Queensland was able to have over the Panthers halves, including co-captain Isaah Yeo and his role in linking the play.

The 30-year-old praised the detailed approach of coach Craig Fitzgibbon in improving the side throughout the year to put the Sharks firmly in Premiership contention — a claim that will only increase further should they chalk up an upset victory on the road.

“Whilst it is an important game and it does carry a lot of weight, it’s just another game that we need to prepare for in the same way that we prepared for the last 18 games before this,” Finucane said.

“It’s hard ,really, because you’ve obviously got that macro goal of wanting to be as successful as you can be. You’d be silly to be in this competition if you weren’t here to win a premiership. But given that Craig is very process orientated, you need to have the smaller goals to achieve that big picture or otherwise it doesn’t happen."

If we win 13+ this week it sounds like your schedule could be getting a little easier.

YouTube's not a big fan of nudity.

Big crowd expected for this one. Only some family hill tickets left. Penrith fans seem to know we’re decent this year and are expecting a cracking game.

The real genius was the 10 years you spent on the forum carrying on like a pork chop to build up the false persona.

… then 2020 rolls around and “boom… gotcha… YouTube moneeeeeey”.

The Maroons game plan isn't ground breaking, kinda just common sense but the problem is that we don't have an entire QLD squad at our disposal to execute it

As much as our defense has improved in recent weeks I'm feeling like the Panthers are gunna unlock it and put points on us without heaps of trouble necessarily. We might resist and hold out for a while but I wouldn't be surprised to see the flood gates re-open and have 20 + put on us

If we can keep them to 1 or 2 trys in first half and not have them start going back to back to back with the points I will feel alot more confident. If we turn up with our heads up our own asses or choke from the occasion and concede a bunch of trys early I think the heads will drop and we won't be able to come back from it or we will fall apart in the process of trying to.

If our attack doesn't find it's rhythm and click early as well we will be in trouble too cause we gunna have to stick with the Panthers this game when it comes to ticking over the scoreboard for our team - we ain't gunna defend out a 2 point lead for 50 odd minutes or whatever.

Not giving away cheap penalties aye - yea I will believe that when I see it Mr McInnes but yea it would be nice not to have the Panthers marched up into our end and attacking our line with a full set. It's gunna be hard enough without giving them cheap favours. Slow down the ruck and play hard sure, but keep it tidy.

Well we ain't gunna smash the Panthers so the other alternative is that it's a epic tight hard fought contest between 2 quality teams and that win or lose we take alot from it

Ramien v Crichton & Talkai v Tago should be juicy

Our team has quality all through it, this aint no reggies squad or Wests Tigers outfit so on paper we match up well with the Pennies - the big difference is that they have been performing at a consistently high level for years now and have all the experience, combinations and confidence that comes with being expected to win every week and doing that nearly every time.

Will need a big game from every player across the park in this one - will be cheering on the boys hard

Yeah that's been the case for a fair chunk of their games this year.

Agree. Also the ref won't be as relaxed with jumping the gun off the line like origin. Need to be careful of our discipline

Agree though with early set kicks and keep the ball down their end though

So for retro round are the Panthers going to wear their old chocolate soldiers jersey?

I’ve tried to post a photo but the site is not letting me. Can anyone else post one for me?

The one from the 70s with chocolate and white stripes.

Was a great jersey

I think all teams should have to wear cotton jerseys.
