Mate how on earth could you have him ahead of either of those two?
I still don't rate Talakai as a centre and Despite scoring plenty of tries recently I think Ramien has too many errors and brain snaps. It will cost us at some point when we won't be able to overlook it.

Tracey is a good defender and teriffic in attack.

Tough as they come.

Tracey coming in cost us the first try but overall is good. Better than Ramien?
Not sure, but Ramien does have a high shot and a few pens in him which Tracey doesn’t seem to have such an issue with.

Ramien has it over Tracy in attack. Creates more opps for his winger. More tackle busts, Bigger, stronger. Tracey is better at running out of our line in space but Ramien seems better in congested positions.

Tough as they come. 150% agree with you on this thou.

Depends on the usage I guess.

So far they have been OK. I had a flat only once and it was as easy as driving to the tyre shop and get it patched. Since it was a rainy night I was happy that I did not need to change the tyre and get wet
I thought we were talking about replacement players!

I love Tracey and have a few issues with Ramien but saying Tracey beats Ramien to a centre spot is just wrong.

I like Tracey but id prefer Ikuvalu who is a right winger to fill in for Katoa on the right, rather than Tracey who plays left centre. Would not be mad either way because at least he won't have to try and pass

CT is a good squad filler but thats it

Happy for him to replace Katoa if needed otherwise 18th man
Moving forward, assuming our squad will continue to get better as well as new additions Tracey is a perfect fit for a 17-18 man, depends who we are playing with a horses for courses squad we run with on a weekly basis.

got wrong footed near our goal line, he turned around straight away with a quick burst and made the tackle saving a try, that was a great effort. I don't think alot of slower players would have recovered like that

love his fast charge carries like he shot out of a cannon into the defense and trys to get the quick PTB

he isn't replacing any of our starting backline but I still appreciate what he brings as first drop with his own flavor and can't knock his effort or commitment

I just noticed that he only has 1 error all year, which was stepping on the sideline last game. Kind of impressive.

He is a reasonably handy player. I can appreciate he needs better passing skills which is surprising for someone who can play in the halves or at full back. His energy and run meters are very understated. He is really good at getting quick meters to get us out of trouble.

It's not all that surprising. A lot of guys come through junior reps in the halves without having much of a passing game. At that level you can be a dominant halfback by having a great running game and by being a solid defender, and not being much of a passer. Plenty through the Sharks system have been like this (Tracey, Metcalf, Salmon) and a lot of players elsewhere who have been Aus schoolboys etc. (Madden, Boyd). Going back to my day Shaun Berrigan was the Qld u17's halfback. I'm not sure I ever saw him pass the ball in juniors.
