So with 10 rounds to go we play 5 top 8 teams (including Souths and Dragons below us) with the rest towards the bottom.

Whilst we have some tricky ones (Manly at Brookvale etc) you would like to think we should be striving to notch up 6 out of 10 wins minimum. That gets us 32 points. I think that would put us hovering around 4 - 5th.

I think considering where we are now anything less than 32 points will be disappointing.

Mind you if we play like we did last week we will be lucky to win 3 out of 10.

It's a four horse race for the last two places in the 8. I reckon the Cows will grab one spot, so between us, Broncs and Parra for the last spot.

It Parra can get some consistency they'll get it.

We'll 100% make the 8, I reckon 5th or 6th most likely.

NRL ladder
points 2022 - points 2021 both @ round 15
28 - 26
24 - 26
22 - 24
20 - 24
20 - 20
20 - 18
16 - 14
16 - 14

14 - 14
14 - 12
14 - 12
10 - 12
8 - 10
8 - 10
8 - 6
6 - 6

The top sides this year (except Penrith) aren't winning as consistently. However the bottom 4 (or 5) sides this year are losing a little more consistently, so in the middle it is a lot more congested.
Currently being on 24 to 14 points has you between 2nd and 11th, this time last year 24-14 had you 3rd to 9th.

I guess nice to be one of the best inconsistent teams...

6 of last years top 8 at this stage went on to finish top 8. Dragons (7th) and Sharks (8th) slid out to finish 11th and 9th.

Yeah of the five top 8 teams we play, two are Souths and the Dragons (both at home) and two are Origin affected (or potentially Origin affected in the case of the Cows game). I'd be disappointed if we didn't win at least 3.

Can't see any of the current top 6 missing the 8... with the last 2 spots probably going to the Rabbits and Roosters.

Rabbitohs I think will be a in a real fight with Sea Eagles and Raiders.
Think Dragons draw might be a bit though for them to join the battle, but to an extent it may come down to which of these teams steal points off each other.
Rabbitohs don't play any of these three teams for rest of season, but 7 of their remaining 10 are top 6 sides currently.

Raiders play Dragons twice an Sea Eagles once, and Sea Eagles and Dragons also play each other so for example if Ben Hunt dragged the Dragons to wins in all those games they'd be very close for 8 spot by virtue of pushing away a lot of their competition.

Just clicked through ladder predictor and I ended up with 7 Sea Eagles 8 Roosters 9 Dragons 10 Rabbitohs.
Sharks in 5th

Manly play us at Brookie so they can lock in two points for that.

Yeah I gave them that win haha

Just revised my tips to accommodate Latrell pushing Rabbitohs over the line in a couple I had put as close losses.
Ended up with Rabbitohs jumping up and pushing Roosters out of 8

I'd prefer both to miss but I could live with this scenario!

Finishing 3rd or 4th we are playing Penrith or Storm first week of finals, so basically we go straight to week 2 of the finals lol
Though there is a chance we play Cowboys in wk1

This all assumes we finish top 4 ofcourse

That's what everyone thought about the Bunnies last year.

A few weeks ago before the Storm game I was thinking if we could win 2 of our next 3 it will put us in a really strong position to make top 4 with back end of the draw being alot easier.

Well we have already won 2 of 3 of those games which is a great result but if we can sang another one today against Penrith not only would it be brilliant for our overall confidence but give us even more breathing room against Broncs, Parra, Storm

Winning those "easier" games in the run to the finals is not a given and surely Storm will bounce back, Broncs are going well and though Parras F/A is unlikely to catch up to ours bare them smashing some teams they are still only 2 points behind us on the table

Would really like to push and take 2nd spot off Cows and get a home final. Don't like the idea of playing Cows, Storm or Broncs away first week of finals

Parra play Penriff next week, I'm not worried about them.

2 top 4 spots will come from us, Brissy and Storm. As long as we don't get lapped tonight we have no excuses, barring injuries, for missing the top 4 now.

No excuses? We are the Sharks mate. Have a book of them.
