Jesse was a big part of our early season success. Gave us a genuine power option in attack out on the right and he rattled blokes with his defense. We shouldn't underestimate his contribution and importance to this team.

Now that entire edge is light weight guys and Nikora and Tracey rarely create opportunities with the ball or make a line break. Katoa has struggled outside those 2 as well

The only threat we really have in our backline now is Sifa but he is often getting shut down. Ronnie is going well but feeds of what Sifa does with the ball. Kennedy is more of a passing link man in the backline sweep plays which we hardly can execute properly anymore and teams have figured them out.

We can't afford Jesse to get himself suspended again. His absence is probably costing us a try or 2 a game (conceded or scored - either which way)

Centre is a position that seems to be making bit of a comeback, for a while it was all about having gun wingers who could finish

To your last point it’s kind of funny isn’t it.
Centre was one of the premier positions for some time and wingers were guys who hung around with footballers.
But eventually the league transitioned into super star wingers getting all the accolades. Any decent centre wanted to be a fullback or a 5/8.
If nothing else I think this resurgence is credit to you simply can’t have a weaker position across the league and at the same time defences are so good you can’t just leave spreads up to your winger, centre needs to make genuine impact too.

To your earlier points I think Ronnie and Talakai still going very well, just adjusted for team overall doing worse. If Kennedy doesn’t have room to make his reads/plays we need to get on the front foot so he does, like we were at times to start the year

Centre is arguably the most important defensive position on the field. Then they're also expected to set up wingers and get big return metres.

Sweet .
I'll wait until a full round ( all team lists )
I think he might be better than Harper from Manly ..
So only 30 centres left :)
Of all the Centres playing club land this weekend .
I'd ONLY swap him for Manu Roosters

There really isn't a lot of Players in Centre position I would swap him for right now .
As stated Manu - YES
Maybe entertain
Kotoni Staggs
Stephen Crichton

Rising stocks on the cheap
Izack Tago
Herbie Farnworth

Rising stocks that will become Centres
Joseph Suaalii
Selwyn Cobbo

Anyone that others WOULD swap him for right now ?
Also Val is starting to become a decent centre

Fair argument Graham, Gagai, Holmes and Lomax all better than Jesse off the top of my head. Two of them playing tomorrow night.
Other two probably ahead of him for NSW.

Olam from Melbourne goes ok.
He does but dunno if I’d swap him for Jesse (depending on prices). Kind of similar in some ways and have only seen him perform in great system, not sure if we swapped right now we’d be any better off

Lomax is getting close
Graham good , but wouldn't swap

I'd swap Jesse for any of them bar Gagai, and that's only due to age.

I'm kinda with you mate. There are better centres than Jesse bit I'm loving what he's doing this year. Not many I'd swap him for at this stage.

Maybe Chad , you could be right .
But then again , he could end up becoming the next GI .
Lots of growth to come from that 19 year old frame .
Time will tell mate .

Agree with you @egg about Suaalii becoming a good centre but I think Cobbo is an out and out winger.
Physically a lot in common with GI and Latrell
Both very good centres and fullbacks. He could go either way… or both like them.
