Kennedy really needs to learn how to tackle
His performance across the park was down. Only ran for 50 or so metres. That was his lowest since rd one. Post that he's regulary been running over 100 and many games above 150. Agreed though, even at fullback you'd hope he makes more than he misses.

If you go and have a look at the lead up to trys scored by Roosters, Kennedy really didn’t do anything and found himself in positions he should never have been in.

3 tackles, 5 missed tackles

Ill cop some hate but Kennedy is well and truly overrated.
He is a 2 trick pony.
Is safe as houses under a high ball
And plays the linking catch pass out wide extremely well but that’s it.
His defensive positioning is horrendous, when he actually gets into position makes the wrong decision 99% of the time or is a soft as a no pillow.
Has very poor support positioning, isn’t elite in speed, strength or agility.
Doesn’t creat something out of nothing.
He has been the best option at the club the past few years but not in the top fullbacks in the comp that he is made out to be.

Bring back Flanno please.. I don’t like where we are going, he would’ve ripped heads off by now. A lot of our players have had over 3 years experience in first grade now and it’s hard to see them being top 5 in their position for at least the next few years unless someone drills them on how to be consistently active and on top of your game.

By then we would’ve invested more money into them only to get the same in and out performances, we really should be using the $$ freed up very wisely

I don't know who is rating him in the top group of fullbacks, other than Paul C.

You clearly have Turbo, Teddy, Latrell, Papenhauzen, Gutho, Ponga all above him in no particular order. All getting paid around that elite level.

Kennedy is comfortably in the next bracket, comparable to someone like Edwards. Both get paid fairly for what they offer.

We’re you all watching that game and thinking you thought Fitzgibbon was a defensive coach?

Proud are you ok today ? Edwards is a weapon - Kennedy is nowhere near Edwards, whilst he might not be a ball player like Kennedy his runs and his work rate and his defence is next level (consistently by the way) You watch how hard he is to tackle you can tell players hate trying to tackle him

Haha I agree wholeheartedly with most of that, but Edwards is very bland in attack. I think the two both have massive shortcomings. Which is why they are mid-tier fullbacks. Kennedy is great with the ball in hand and through attacking shape, Edwards is awesome coming out of his own end in yardage.

Just a little harsh that one bad game can get you all but hung, drawn and quartered.
