Takes approx 1/3 as many 1 pass hit ups, although leads Sifa in dummy half runs 6 to nothing.

Regardless of whether one is on a better side for it given targeted kicks or not the numbers do suggest Talakai takes more.
Side v side Talakai+Ronnie averages 14, Ramien+Katoa averages 11 (with Katoa doing a lot of the heavy lifting on this side)
I'm predicting a spike in the "runs by the right centre coming out of his own end" from next week, as our right winger has just declared himself a target.

I was thinking that too
I don't think he is that much of a target tbh, he gives away some height but usually competes well and is safe, we got unlucky he was also blinded at the same time.
I think other than the top 20%ish of contested catch making wingers have the exact same issue in that spot.

I reckon a few 7’s will try it out. Gotta kick it somewhere - might as well kick it to the bloke who has dropped a few lately.

NRL Physio saying he thinks it looked like the kind of ankle sprain with sharp immediate pain and quick swelling but quick recovery time.
If it is he could be a chance for this weekend.

Great news, I heard the last part of the. NRL Guru pod where he mentioned some funny name of a injury which is so rare world wide but was concerned it might be what Sifa has, apparently, whilst they can come back from the injury the athlete is never the same again.

I'm curious what that is now, is Guru's pod decent? He seems alright on Bloke in a Bar.

Probably unlikely Talakai has an extremely rare injury...

I like it, but I suppose, like all things, it’s an acquired taste.

For regular footy content, he has stuff every day, depending on what’s news, it could be anything from a short 10min pod on daily news, match preview, match review to Avery detailed analysis. He regularly asks for feedback, as to what he can do better, which will bring in more listeners etc.

The only thing I don’t tune in to is fantasy football or SuperCoach, which seems to be very popular for others. (No interest in it)
Whilst I don’t agree with everything he says i genuinely like him & to me, seems like a likeable knock around sort of guy.

Okay I chased this up, he wasn’t saying it was rare he was saying it was variable in how impactful it was.

Commonly up towards 12 weeks but can be minor (4-6 weeks) or if requiring surgery can be more like 3-6 months.

Similar area of foot bones injuries can also be very complex to heal. Whole area gets bad blood flow.
Woods was out for approx 3 months with foot fracture in this area for us a few years back.

I thought it looked like they were treating Talakai as an ankle sprain in game though. Anyone hear anything otherwise yet?

Yeah I heard the coach say that they were hopeful that the location of the pain meant he would be ok - the higher ankle sprains were more of a concern - or words to that effect .

Let’s hope he’s good to play - any scans taken yesterday will tell the story though ..

While it was always unfair and unrealistc to expect Sifa to live up to the hype and expectation following his demolition job on Manly (you can't do that every week) he has still being going fairly well running the ball hard and whacking blokes in defense.

There has been less good opportunities for his passing and kicking game with the whole teams structure and ryhtm disjointed and looking more flat and less smooth. He is getting smothered and rushed up on by multiple defenders cutting down his impact and we haven't been able to come up with a counter play to take advantage of this.

Having said all that I think his effectivness in the centres is starting to wane a bit and on the weekend he missed alot of tackles so when he is fit I am happy enough to bring him back into the forwards rotation. Might freshen him up a bit as well

Tracey is having a red hot crack at centre showing improvement and Ramien will be back. Plus we are down on forwards with no BHU, Dale or Jack Williams.

If there is something worse than marking up on Talakai for 80 mins it might be marking up on a Talakai that can put all his strength and energy into a 30-40 min spell

It wasn't that he didn't used to be damaging coming from the bench it's just we saw less of him and in less space
