Will Kennedy talk… def at least 10 mins. Think not outrageous for him to not be sent given no injury though, which carries into my next point, but following no call on Tupou he was always in trouble.

…anyway, in terms of protecting the head WKs shot was super low impact compared to
many others. It was all dramatic flying legs and arms but the actual amount of contact to head appeared to be very minimal.
Probably a dozen harder contacts to heads in that game than that one. Typically refs drop the word forceful when it is a bin or send off it really didn’t appear forceful.

Would have been very disappointing for that whole game to be ruined (if sharks hadn’t dug in) for what is a spectacular looking but ultimately not super impactful or dangerous shot.

Compare to the Lawton dangerous tackle the other week… substantially more dangerous than WKs one, IMO

It is what it is and fantastic outcome in the end… glad I didn’t give up on game like I felt like!

Watching the presser I'm not 100% sure Wadeo and Fitz like each other that much. Probably just my imagination.

Pretty happy to have a week off after that game. A few boys could use an ice bath and a can get an extra session in practicing new combos

Who's having a week off? Magic round next week. We've got a 7 day turnaround.

The boys should be so proud of themselves with that, that would have to be one of the most famous victories at Shark Park. Fitzzy would have to be so proud of that performance in the 2nd half, they just showed absolute determination to get home maybe for WK in part too. Makes me wonder too whether after that win, Finucine & Hynes coming from a tough team themselves in Melbourne whether they know now they made the right move without a doubt.

What makes you think that? I've just seen the press conference, I can't particularly see any issues between the 2, maybe just that Fitzzy is fairly quiet because to me he's seemed fairly quiet over the year.

What a win, very proud of the boys!

Can't believe how good our completion rate was in the second half considering how much we threw it around. Outstanding.

And SJ, one of the biggest frauds in the game. People said he was the biggest signing in our history hahaha.

Fantastic win... the most enjoyable since that day in October. I'm still singing. The boys were immense!
But what a dumb footy side the Warriors are.
I have a soft spot for them and I do like SJ (probably not a popular opinion around these parts), but am I glad that Hynes was wearing the 7 today and not him.

The boys showed the mettle they're made of. What a team!

Probably because I was jumping around while I watched the presser which would have made them both look a bit bouncy.

Did wonder during warriors one did AFB just want to get out of losing press conference or was he not liking Browns answer to questions

That's cause Fitz is force feeding him Big Macs through an IV Drip

He is the biggest myth in the game, says a lot about the state of that joint that they took him back.

He's atrocious.

It really reminded me of how frustrating a player SJ was here and is in general

For every good kick, there is a bad one, for every good pass there is a bad one, for every repeat set there is a dropped ball

He so rarely has a complete game. He's like a 5/10 player every week but at the Sharks in a team that was kinda diabolical at times he was still able to be one of our most influential players cause we still relied on him for those passes and kicks and some weeks he managed to get a few more right than wrong.

ofcourse he also had weeks where he was full pea heart mongoloid. I don't think you can build a team around a player that is so temperamental and inconsistent

SJ has become a weird combination of a 6 who rarely gives his all for a game, that has changed (and slowed) into someone who wants to play as the 7 seemingly without the concentration for the job.

Needs a Brooks-like move to 6 with clear instruction just worry about you, that's probably how you get the best from him. But needs a 7 who will take responsibility like Hastings has.
In Chad he sort of had that 7 but Chad always needed the other players around him to be going well as he wasn't really capable of shining on his own. Not a good pairing when your 6 only shines for 20 minutes a game... usually at the end when you are 30-12 down to near single handedly get you back to 30-24 down so Chad looks like the bad guy for trying his guts out for 80 as a non-elite player.

Combine that with the fact most of our top spends were ravaged by injury and we were playing on a lower cap and we never really had much hope.

Now SJ (notorious for inconsistency) had gone to Warriors (notorious for inconsistency) and they haven't been able to even really keep another half on the park with him, which doesn't help.
I don't know Volkmans game well enough but I don't think Metcalf is the 6 that unlocks SJ at 7.

Im not sure they do either.

Why was Hynes taking over captain duties such as talking to the ref and kicking for touch and tapping etc? He did this whilst Finnucane was off the field and with a "c" next to Wades name.
