Might get a job on NRL 360 though!

I’d probably last one episode seeing as I’d probably tell Braith he’s just a very **** and much dumber Ben Ikin and I’d probably slam Paul Kent’s face against the table repeatedly until he at least offered a grovelling public apology to Anthony Maroon for being a bullying cuck to him on the weekend on Triple M.

I’ve just caught up on this part on Triple M. Maroon is the only reason that was worth listening to, he’s a legend. Always felt sorry for him that he had to be surrounded by those douchebags

The NRL Grand Final is reportedly set to stay put after ARLC Chairman Peter V’Landys and NSW Premier Dominic Perrotet came to an agreement to keep the decider in Sydney.

The report comes after the league threatened to take the big game to the highest bidder if stadiums in Sydney weren’t upgraded, with Brisbane offering $10 million to host the game several times across the next decade.

Thankfully for Sydneysiders, the The Daily Telegraph’s Michael Carayannis says that the game will remain at Olympic Park after the NSW Government agreed to spending $800 million on renovating four suburban grounds

“The inevitable is going to happen,” Carayannis said on SEN 1170 Breakfast.

The Telegraph are reporting that the $800 million deal is done.

“Following the meeting between Dominic Perrotet and Peter V’Landys last week, they shook hands and agreed that the government would upgrade at least four stadiums in Sydney.”

Carayannis expects Manly’s Brookvale Oval, the Wests Tigers’ Leichhardt Oval and Cronulla’s Shark Park to receive upgrades as part of the agreement.

“The scramble will be on to work out which stadiums they are – I’m not sure if that includes Penrith which has already been slated for an upgrade,” he said.

“I think you’ll find Brookvale, Leichhardt and Shark Park will probably be the ones that get some work done.

“That’ll keep the Grand Final in Sydney … that’s the likely outcome that we all anticipated.”

The 2022 NRL Grand Final will be played on Sunday October 2 at Accor Stadium in Sydney.

Thanks mate. Just from the text it appears it was Hooper being the dick?

I hate that muppet, someone needs to punch him in the head.

The fact that nuggets like Kent and Hooper have such large profiles doesn't say much for people that listen to them.

Unless the Tigers play more games there as a taxpayer I can't understand how money can be justifiably spent on Leichhardt Oval.
Same, they play like 3- 4 games there a year.
Money would be better spent further improving Campbelltown esp as Soccer play out of there as well.

Leichhardt is used for a lot of junior/rep footy, rugby, soccer etc too.

So probably more justified than us in some ways, though I think any money for us would be based around the wider community benefits and female sport programs.

Surely it would only be spent on changerooms/toilets in that case. Those sports don't attract decent crowds.

Thanks, I like Maroon, and glad he spoke up, always thought all the tax jokes might cause him problems. The full audio is here at about 6:30mins in.

Don't know anything about this, obviously know who the other three are though.
From a professional standpoint you'd have to say it went way too far - if it's derailing the whole thing it's gone too far long before someone walks off. If they consider him to be a friend perhaps the line for off air stays a bit closer to where they were but still on air he clearly doesn't want that so they should have respected it publicly. He may have been okay to cop it a bit more (especially if there is any truth) out of public and also where he felt more comfortable giving them **** back, something he clearly has been withholding from doing.

I forget now which one it was, Hooper maybe, effectively just said 'yes we are bullying you' publicly on air when he admitted the more upset he got the funnier it was. You probably shouldn't admit to bullying your work colleagues effectively (because it was publicly broadcast) in front of your bosses.

His value to media is basically that he can talk a lot confidently and find or invent trash that gets interest - seems extremely replaceable?
