They really should just get rid of the 5 day turnaround. It isn't even a hard thing to do. Give all teams a proper recovery and preparation period for each game so the draw is fair for all teams

Logistically impossible I think with 16 teams/8 games whilst trying to factor in a home game every second week (I know that doesn’t always happen)

The AFL doesn't have 5 day turnarounds. I guess the fact the NRL has a Thursday game makes it harder.

Why don't they implement a Home-Away game switching each week like soccer? It would mean 30 games - is that the reason? It seems more fair to me that way though.

If they had swapped next weeks Thursday and Friday games around - all 4 teams would have had a 6 day turn around …
With some decent planning the 5 day turn around can be minimized …
