Biased but has there been a more one sided crowed?

Remember just the sea of Black White and Blue. Looked so amazing.

think you are right there.

yeah shame they don't become members. certainly come out of the woodwork, but that said its a positive to know - we do have a large fan base.
i'm surprised when I've travelled the world I ran into sharks supporters everywhere. re affirming really. we have such a good brand to market.

Anyone listen to Sharkcast with the Sharks flag on the harbour bridge.

It’s just typical Cronulla we only get that opportunity because of someone knows the right bloke. It’s a last minute decision as the flag is being raised it gets caught up and tears a little. The boys are watching it, thinking will it hold up and stay together.

Re-watched this last night

Must say, fans shouldn't feel too dudded that Lewis got the CC Medal - he was fantastic, especially in the first half

Maloney was Epic
Gal was a rock
Hino had some good moments almost scoring under the post
Feki and Ricky took tough carries up the guts all night
Prior made such a difference to our team, he smothered blokes around the ruck

The way we smashed the snot out of the Storm with our rushing defense was sublime, we gave away a penalty on the second tackle of the game!

I miss these sharks days, inspirational, aggressive and the style of footy we had back then. Our game plan and execution and energy levels was fire. it really only was penalties that got the storm up our end, soft penalties too some of them too I might add

I forget Ben Hampton played for the Storm in this Grand Final LOL

I always teased that all Chad did for us that day was copped some head highs and got pushed out of the way in the scrum but after rewatching It actually kinda confirmed this. I don't think I relised so much that he really was a passenger that day, did hardly anything with the ball. dropped a fifita offload, kick ball dead for 7 tackle restarts ect or under kicked them for easy defender pickup

the penalties he earned us were key though and he was part of the team that got us through to the GF after an excellent season overall from he squad (even if he was hooked against Raiders). Will always love these blokes for that year, they really did want it and it was a privilege and quite special to cheer them on that night after all the crap the fans and clubs and players had been through

I think we must have started to tire cause the Storm trys were nothing special and could have been prevented with some better marking up.
my heart was broken in that second half but then Fifita said miss me with that sad ****

It's sometimes depressing thinking about what we once were and what we've become.

Let's hope Fitz gets us back up there!

We've really missed the kind of quality veterans we had back then... they had oodles of experience but were still at the peak of their powers. Last year we ran out the likes of Woods, Tolman, Moylan, Chad and... Chambers... as our senior group. Jeeeeesuuus....

Looking forward to getting closer to that 2016 crew with Cam and Dale We're still missing leadership in the halves and backs which will surely bite us on the butts unless we make a few late, seasoned signings who can still play ball.

Not just that mate but it feels like the game itself has kinda gone to **** as well and just isn't as tough or as enjoyable to watch anymore

it's like some Oztag abomination hybrid now, I'm not sure what to make of it but I do know that the 6 again stuff is ballz.
every year it becomes less a sport , less serious and more a circus where every game is like some sort of festival or carnival exhibition

Apart from ASADA and the fallout, we spent the best part of a decade in a premiership window. At the same time as some of the most dominant teams of any era.

2016 was an absolute purple patch of a year.

2021 we're pretty much where we should have been. If anything we were lucky just to miss finals.

hopefully we won't be having to bump this thread to console ourselves in 2022 as much as past seasons but always good to reminisce / share new stories
