I love the Jaws theme before we run out. I cringe when the ground announcer tries to get the crowd to chant...

I still remember a period back in the early ninties our then halfback (Barry Russell) ran out of the tunnel and tried to get the crowd chanting before the rest of his team mates ran out.

Tough times back then.

There is a lack of atmosphere at games at times.
Parramatta do it well (in my opinion) by playing the 'Parra' chant throu the speakers, which the crowd join in on.
When the annoucer at sharks trys it just falls on deaf ears and seems desperate

Ok so what would you suggest to create atmosphere?
Its like a morgue at times sitting at Sharks Park.
Look at the UK and SL - they have crowds which sing for 80 mins (i should know being from St.Helens)

Yeah I know but it's different here.

Agree that more atmosphere would be good but I'm not a fan of it being fake.

At least this has comic factor to it.

At Perth Glory home games (and I’m sure other A-League teams do this) we have “The Shed” who come up with some amazingly fun **** to sing a long to.

Bagging the opposition, or propping up the Glory (when they are doing well).

Surely anythings better than the Panthers 'Roar' over the loud speaker.

Being back the old Mr Sharkie and Hammerhead to continually walk around the ground. At least it gave something to vent abuse at when you were losing.

But the fans in the UK grew up with the football (soccer) culture, which is 90 minutes of continuous chanting. It is different here.

I think pretty much everything to create atmosphere has mostly been tried, and we probably have to accept it's not really the Shire way.

I do miss the half-time singalong (mainly Sweet Caroline), but otherwise I'd prefer them to shut up a bit before the game and at half time so you can more easily chat with the people you're with.... then there's less need for a catch-up during the game!

Pity we couldn't listen to the Tigers pre-game speech by their coach. That would be entertainment worth the price of admission!

Wait for Tales From Tiger Town season 2.

Going off season 1 probably a lot of swearing & false hope.

"The Wests ****ing Tigers are always in the ****ing game!" ... Righto, mate.
