Play him from the bench as a tight middle ball playing lock like we used to want to do with him. Give Dale a breather and McGin can give Brailz a breather

Keep him away from the edges & backline

I personally wouldn't be giving Brailey a rest just for the sake of it, he is doing fine and there's no need to disrupt the spine just so we can give guys minutes

Wade deserves his chance on the edge whe re he could possible add more impact and dimension to our team

I feel wade needs to be on the bench instead of trindall, can cover halves if required

The last thing we need is Wade playing out of position.. bloke has a hard enough time making it out of a full game period

I think if Wade has a future here we need to redefine his roll. He just doesn’t offer what is required of an edge forward these days- he’s lost a yard or 3 , crams his outside men, struggles to break tackles and lately his left foot kick has been largely in-effective.

Perhaps he does have some value a middle ball playing forward. But that’s up to him and Fitz.

He would need to become more of a line runner like Nikora or Wilton and less of a ball player if we want him to slot in a do a similar job in attack - but then you may as well just play Wilton or Nikora who are good at that element.

If we want to play to his strengths (often weakness in last few seasons) and have him kicking, passing, cramping his backs and have him play his natural game as a point of difference, maybe take some heat off Hynes/Mozza then I am sure Fitz can find a way to make it work or help Wade be more adaptable.

Fitz has done wonders with our players and team so I probably should show him faith that he will make it work with Wade.
We are a very good team, it's just a matter of does Wade make us more of a very good team or slightly detracts from it?

Won't know till we see him out there playing over a couple of rounds

And the thing is we know Wade can make us better. He has runs on the board not just Sharks but for NSW and Australia.
Fitz will have a read on it but if Wade can get back to anywhere close to his best he improves us.

A bit different to a guy going decent in Cup and arguing why not see what he can do. We know what Wade can do, might need to give him a few weeks to see if he can find it again or not though.

It is a bit of a tricky spot, I hope he can secure a place in the team on his own quality even if it is reputation that buys him the chance.
I also hope unless he absolutely kills it and stays healthy rest of the year he doesn't consider trying to stay.
We can do big things with him and Fifita off our books.

Your not wrong bort but the thing is he hasn't done what he is capable of for so long. He fell out of favour at rep level a while ago

The other question is if that is even what this team needs anymore. Our backline and spine is humming and our forwards across the board doing an excellent job. I can't see Wade playing the way he used to not interfering with that potentially

I really doubt he will. If he plays out the season he can probably make double his worth in the superleague. Plus he could live in France which you'd imagine is an attractive opportunity to his family.

You'd have to think if we did re-sign Nikora he would see the writing on the wall and jump on the phone to Pearce.
Wilton, Nikora and Talakai puts a lot of pressure on him to try and hold a jersey...

Not sure if this will be his last season with us or sign for one more but I’m sure he’ll do his final season(s) @ the Catalans (his Mrs is French)

The guy had a an ACL Reco and concussion issues, of course he hasn't played rep etc. when he has barely played for two years I would assume like McInnes he will take a month or so and I would play him from the bench for at least a month. He is only 31, can easily find good form again if he gets the chance to string some games together.
