You dont think theyll start him from the bench and move Dale up to front row?
Anything is possible, I just believe its a waste of a bench spot. Pele in for Fifita (provided he's injured) McInnes to lock Finucane to prop BHU to bench Tolman drops off.

I agree with this. If McInnes is ready to go put him out to start. If he's not ready, keep him until next week.

Even if he is ready he hasn't played for so long I don't have any issue picking the right time to bring him into the game.

If he is healthy enough to sit on the bench I don't think he can be a waste of a bench spot.

Also doubt if Fifita wasn't fit to stay in side that he'd be replaced by Pele and Tolman would drop off. I think Tolman would just stay and McInnes would replace Fifita (either on bench or with a reshuffle)

Yep, I know what you mean and I am not suggesting that Cam play 80 mins. That would be a big ask.
But against that Parra side, I'd love to get an early jump on them and not be 12-0 down like last week. Having Cam there steels the defence, so even if he has a little break 10 mins before half time and then comes on for the last 20-25 mins or so, that would give him good game time and have him better for Round 3.

Anyway, there is still a very high chance that he's not ready and won't be picked in the final 17.

I have no doubt if Cam plays he starts. Maybe Toby drops onto the bench and rotates for DF with the reshuffle and bring Cam back in the latter part of the 2nd half when DF has a spell.

Good point about the fast start .

Parra love to lead and dictate play and the pace of the game .

Poor defense almost brought them unstuck last week .

The Titans did throw some enterprising play at them as well ..

I think you could still even start like Rudolf Tolman Finucane and bring on McInnes after a bit to support the likes of Hunt and BHU who bring some whack but aren't renowned for their high defensive workrates

I’d be starting McInnes & give Finucane 30-35 min then bring on one of our impact front row & bring Finucane back on around the 45-50th min for McInnes then play it by the game if he comes back on at lock, hooker or stays on the bench.

So just a 45-50 minute starting stint for his first game back against a big pack, and if he's not ready for that he may as well not play?

Finucane got 63 last week besides that it’s on par with what the rest of our middles played last week, and I’m not saying that’s all he plays but 12 months off and no trials 45 is a decent effort

Why is his 12 months out with a major knee injury, and then recently a few weeks with a minor injury, putting him in the same conversation as Finucane who played 2021, finals and a trial? I guess you are proposing he play around 15 mins less, although in one stint vs Dales 2

And why is he playing the full first half but then just 5 or 10 minutes of second half?
Surely he may as well play 15-20 of second half if he is good for the full first half then gets a halftime break?
(edit: maybe I take this bit back, apparently Dale played a 47 minute first stint last week so not that odd...)

Tolman was prob our 2nd best forward behind Dale last week, i don't think you should punt him after an effort like that, he was looking good

Talakai would be the one I have make way but as much as I like Pele I would play Talakai before him

Will be interesting to see the crowd on Sat night.

Is it just me or has there been a lack of promoting (by both Sharks and NRL) considering first game back it 2 years.

Sharks website doesn't say much and even NRL haven't posted anything in particular on their website.

considering it's a sell out the extra marketing might have been bit of waste of cash anyway. I think new coach, players and back to our proper home ground against a decent team, it has sold itself

Having said that wtf is a sellout at Shark Park anymore, we have heard that before and then the crowd announced is like 16k . have the reno's given as extra capacity yet? I would be suprised if the crowd cracks the 20k mark which is what we used to be able to cram in back in the day

Isn't capacity something like 13k atm?

Got a question - my daughter cant make the game tomorow, had a junior membership seat in one of the bays, can an adult use that ticket? Or will they have to pay the difference?

I don't know but what is the issue? Having to pay a bit extra or being turned away with a kids ticket? I'd ring the club though to find out.

Apparently there’s only 300 tickets left for this game. If true, that’s brilliant.
