How much is his opponent paying?Tim Simona to make his boxing debut tomorrow night. And believes he’s paid his dues and is now ready for a NRL return.
I would hope BHU would show us some loyalty given we basically took him from the dumpster (Nth QLD) to get him to NRL level.Dolphins are looking at BHU - which is no big surprise as the options are dwindling …
Money talks. And the dolphins have plenty.I would hope BHU would show us some loyalty given we basically took him from the dumpster (Nth QLD) to get him to NRL level.
If they do have break-out years, absolutely agree but was basing that thought on where they are currently situated in the squad.Hunt will be worth more then a minimum deal if he stays relatively injury free. Pele too if he ends up having his much anticipated breakout year.
Indeed, can’t blame any professional player doing what’s best for themselves and their family. It’s only a short time they have to earn that sort of moneyMoney talks. And the dolphins have plenty.
Depends at what age a junior is a juniorAgree Nrl Cap needs a proper Jnrs dispensation system. That would also help pull up the Storm and Roosters.
Good signing for them. Interested to see what they’ve paid him. Wants to play fullback. In other news, Isaako to Dolphins 2023
Good signing as a solid goal kicking winger - fullback is a bridge too far for him IMO …Good signing for them. Interested to see what they’ve paid him. Wants to play fullback.
And then they want another teamIsaako, Kaufusi & Stone. Certainly coming together, showing the abundance of talent kicking around to justify another team
Personally think this is one area we can look at stealing an idea from the NBA with rookie scale contracts. When a junior graduates to the seniors they sign a four year rookie scale contract which depending on what they achieve in that first 4 years mandates what they can earn on their next contract. Would curb alot of these ridiculous contracts young players are having thrown at them.Depends at what age a junior is a junior
yeh that only works as the rookie wage is more than what best player in the nrl recievesPersonally think this is one area we can look at stealing an idea from the NBA with rookie scale contracts. They wouldn't all be locked in on base wage, if you compare rookie contracts to the stars the rookies earn about 10% compared to them but they still don't all earn the same amount, the better rookies still get much higher amounts, also the whole point of a scale contract is that when you have someone like suuli and walker achieving things at young age that performance is rewarded and the contract scaled up to match it.yeh that only works as the rookie wage is more than what best player in the nrl recieves
imagine the knights got away with paying ponga 80k for 3 years? those rookie deals would have to start when they are what, 14? 15? and even then a talented 18 year old like suuli should be able to earn more
Future immortalZac Cini who I was told signed with Newtown has now secured a spot with us.
Apparently has been training the house down and is right in the mix.
