"The Storm squad have spent plenty of time on the road together over the past two years due to Covid and Smith said playing cards is constant feature.

The teammates play for cash and Smith ousted Cameron Munster as the worst punter in the team.

“I play a lot of cards, me and Christian Welch actually, I reckon we’re about to get hit up by the ATO because we just take that much cash off the boys,” Smith said.

“Cameron Munster, I reckon he’s give us a $1000 this year just on playing cards, he’s the worst."

LOL that is hilarious...I can totally see Brandon Smashing Munster at poker and then Munster getting Agro about it.

Sure he is a loose cannon and the article paints him as one from the interview. But lets be honest everyone already knew he was loose!
When Cheese was talking about how Cam Smith didn't get into any of that 'other stuff', then gave a nervous glance down the camera House of Cards style...

Anyone actually watch the Smith podcast? I haven’t but did read an article that referenced his 60 F bombs in 55 minutes and found these 2 lines interesting.

“F******, like training and fitness. He (Finucane) is just f****** tapped, bro.”

“Cameron McInnes and Dale Finucane, two of the hardest f****** working players in the rugby league game.”

I did, for some reason... My opinion of him dropped a fair bit.
I don't care that he drinks or swears. I'm know to dabble in both, not even always at the same time. But he comes across as too loose to know quite where to draw the line. He's so close to making a big issue of some of the dumb stuff he does. You just hope he doesn't take anyone smart enough to keep it behind closed, reception free doors with him

I agree mate but the amount of footy players that have brains would have to be 5% or less.

We give players **** for answering questions like robots, full of cliches. Look at any DCE interview, they're just the worse.

Then we have a cry when a player gets candid and spews some verbal diarrhoea

Brad Arthur has revealed the players leaving the club in 2023 have made a pact to win the premiership in 2022 before they leave.

Why even bother having the season at this point if eels have already made a pact to win?

I think Fitz gets a pass if he's top 6, so still something for us to play for.
Still.... very disappointed that we haven't heard a pact to win the 2023 GF come out of our camp. I mean, no-ones called dibs yet and we're doing sweet diddly.

They'll be lucky to make the 8 , let alone win the Comp
