You on the Game Pass or buying digital copies?
I got 3 years free on game pass through a brilliant ozbargain loophole, so considering the diskless version
I get game pass ultimate with the deal with my Xbox. Game share with a friend who has a massive library. If you have ultimate game pass you also get access to the EA games. That’s another 50 games there from NHL, madden, Star Wars, ufc. There is heaps

The only downside to the diskless is the lack of space. You can get any 3.0 hard drive though as storage. I get 600mb/s on a good day so deleting and downloading isn’t that big of a deal. I linked my phone Xbox app with the console so I can delete and download when I’m not home to save time.

Another pro for the Xbox. You can share your games with another person as long as they have your profile on their Xbox. Obviously trust is involved, but if there is a game we both play we usually just go halves.

I've out of gaming for a long time, but just can't understand these console shortages
Surely done to create hype. Maybe too the servers weren’t that great so they couldn’t have too many people on?

Probably naive, but couldn’t you just… make… more?

hehe the reasons are:

covid shutting Chinese factories and playing catch up with the demand
silicon shortage
china trade war with US ect

also why prices are staying high for the time being

a video card I bought for my PC 2 years ago is currently selling for twice what I paid for it - it's ridiculous. it should be worth about 30% of that

I'm getting ready for a car dealer to play hard ball with me on negotiating a price based on the chip shortage

I'm in the same boat for a second car. Think we'll ride it out.

yea on the other hand the dealerships have been closed from what I'm told so their sales will have absolutely nose dived so would think they are still desperate to make up sales wherever they can

new cars seem better value than used right now regardless

I can't test drive until covid restrictions lift

It's ridiculous. I've been looking at cars from 2018-2020 and you only need to spend an extra $2 to $3k to get a new car.

Very frustrating.

People are selling my model of car with higher km's for about 70% of the price of what I originally paid for my car

I bought my car 11 years ago
LOL

It's realistically only worth about 30% of these inflated figures

But I can't really move this car on until I have a new one locked down. Doing the shopping on the motorbike is a pain

No secret I bad mouth Kayo most chances I get. I wasn't even paying for it, my brother was.

Went to watch some lead up to the GF and it wouldn't let me. Check my emails and my brother cancelled it.

About an hour after the AFL GF hahaha.

I've had my troubles with Kayo but no way would I cancel it.

Apart from NRL, I constantly watch the soccer (Championship of course!), cricket and also I've loved watching the golf during lockdown, especially the European Tour. I've become a bit of a night owl with it, but of course with Kayo if it goes on too late, I can always watch the rest of it the following day without knowing what has happened.

Just finished watching the Dunhill Links in Scotland - it was a pro and amateur event. Danny Willet won the tournament for the pros and the team event was won by two golfers I didn't really know. But it was a great event played over 3 different courses in Scotland, the Old Course, Carnoustie and Kingsbairn with the last round played at the Old Course St Andrews.

My missus knows when Thursday comes around, it's usually the first round of a tournament being played somewhere on the continent.

No it’s the chip shortage issue
Tell me about it. For work I’m ordering hardware 12 to 18 months in advance as switches and servers are taking 6 to 8 months and so having excess inventory rather than hold things up.

It’s affecting so many things

We use lease cars at work that rotate every 9 months or 15000km and struggling to get new ones… but not cost effective to hold them longer as they lose too much value
