Luicano Leilua is off to the Cowboys, plus he’s seeking an immediate release. A hammer blow for the Tigers. Looks like they basically gave him almost all the money they were going to give Kikau. About $700k a year.

At $700k for LL its a no brainer not entertaining that.

Cows are not just ****ed, they're long term ****ed. Dig up, stupid.

Someone has to be fudging numbers at the cowboys. There is no way Chad and him are on 1.5mish each between them. A professional organisation can’t be that silly

Looking forward to the Hess/Lucy combo of edges. Which will be a bigger defensive disaster on any given night will be a real toss up

Hess is amazing mate. Don’t you remember his first 6 games running off JT from 3m out?

he clarified he got the huge offer and a car and thats why he left

i'd believe it, the cowboys are a dumb organisation

Was that in reference directly to 800k? I doubt it.

Agree on the Cows, they are dumb but still believe they didn't offer him that coin.

It's pretty much impossible to believe. And he's carrying an injury into this coming season that kept him out of a fair few games this year... Surely they're not risking that much coin. I also believe the Cows are a dumb organisation. You'd read this blokes book just to figure out what actually went down with his contracts

800k def too high for Chad (from a value standpoint, maybe they were actually mad enough to offer it though)
But you cant hold his injury against it as that happened well after and if just AC joint no reason he shouldn't be back to "100%" by now

Oh, thought it started at the Warriors. Cool. Hard to track his contract dates.
Apparently he's not 100% and still needed to work on it to get back to full strength. Must have been a bit worse than advertised

Nah I'm sure he signed well before he went to Warriors.

While it could always be more complicated than it seems or above normally bad (especially with the level of contact in NRL) I don't think I've ever heard of anyone having issues recovering from AC joint. Likely he has just been taking it easy on it offseason while ligament heals and it's a bit weaker on that side than other side.
Often considered largely a pain management issue but I can attest the pain is bad enough it makes it very hard to use your arm. Fits with him being in and out of team for a bit, being able to play mostly but not fully, especially if painkilling injections not doing as well as they hoped.
Potentially could have been bone damage as well or other issue with shoulder stability or similar though. I did my MCL (knee) once and there was a lot of associated bone bruising which was painful for much longer than ligament took to heal.

Few more Cotric articles in the last few days, regarding him leaving the dogs. If they are paying freight it would be unreal to get him here.

Looks like Mahoney to the Dogs (4 years) is about to be officially announced. Parra in all sorts here. They’re now 1 out of 4 for big retentions with Paulo still to make up his mind.
