Not a bad idea at first glance. Wonder if it might be a bit unfair though. Would imagine the first round would be one of the higher viewed games of the normal season. Could have a bit of an impact on their wallet, making a **** team even shitter

More incentive to not finish last then. ;) :D

Imagine being in 9th spot and getting a bye in the last round and it pushes you into the 8th 😂

I'm pretty sure this happened in SG Ball this year.

It must happen a lot in junior footy. Up here in Brisbane use a different ladder scoring system these dayas to try to work around some of the complexities of byes, forfeits etc.

Win = 3 points
Win by Forfeit = 3 points and 50-0 to F/A
Bye = 2 points
Loss = 1 point
Loss by Forfeit = 0 points and 0-50 to F/A

James Tedesco cleared over racial slur allegations, still cops fine

NSW Blues and Sydney Roosters skipper James Tedesco has been fined $10,000 by the NRL over a late-night incident at Bondi Beach.
It had been alleged the champion fullback directed a racial comment towards a woman of Vietnamese descent which forced the NRL’s integrity unit to launch an investigation.

The Daily Telegraph understands the allegations of racism could not be proven.
However he was fined for drunken behaviour.

The woman at the centre of the allegation and her sister, who took to social media to make the original claims, were interviewed.
Other players in the group with Tedesco also spoke to integrity unit investigators.

Nothing to see here.

Bet that $10k went straight to the victim, who conveniently will never bring this up again.

If he did say something, then he should be called out and fined heavily for it. However, if there is not enough evidence to support the person's claims then how can one be fined.

From now on whenever I hear someone say "white" I will do what this lady did and claim they must have been talking about me and see if I can get some cash.

I tend to think it much more likely Teddy would've been talking about the most popular show on Earth at the time than him yelling "Sqid Games" at a random Asian woman.

Bizarre all round.

I don't see Teddy as the drinking type. Those kind of characters act abnormally on the liquor, especially when they're convinced to do shots.

Cowboys have brought in JT as a halves coach. Got his work cut out for him?

I saw JT as an instinct player so I'm not sure how well it'll go. Wish him well though.

Best thing about the Tedesco story, is nowadays, especially with streaming, how fast popular popculture falls out of the lexicon. This story will make zero sense in 2 yrs time.

Imagine 5yrs ago if he had witnessed a balding man pinching someone's bum and yelling out 'House of Cards!'
