Hey Burgo, what's the difference between a super moderator and your run of the mill moderator?
I’m better at it ;)

On the old site, the normal moderator permission didn’t work so SF gave me super moderator status.

On the new site, I’m not even sure what extra permissions I have. I can’t archive threads or anything anymore. SF said he’ll make me admin whenever I like but I haven’t had any need for it yet. Being shown as “staff” makes me seem important though.

Incoming Sharks coach Craig Fitzgibbon said he considering using Nicho Hynes at No.7 next year and revealed he chose Cronulla to finally take on a head coach role because he believes the club is set up for success.
Flanked by his father and ex-Cronulla coach Allan as well as Sharks greats Gavin Miller, Andrew Ettingshausen and Paul Gallen, Fitzgibbon pulled on his new colours for the first time in an official capacity at the club’s rescheduled grand final luncheon on Friday.

Wallabies prepare for a Spring Tour without Quade

Wayne Bennett's Dolphins press conference was hijacked by controversy over the club's decision to drop all geographical reference in their name.
And he wasted little time hinting the Sharks would take a leaf out of the Storm book and deploy Hynes as a playmaker, and one of the first big calls Fitzgibbon will make in 2022 is figuring out who plays alongside the new recruit in the halves.
“A lot of people wouldn’t know, but Nicho has only just started playing fullback in the last 12 to 18 months,” Fitzgibbon said. “He actually grew up as a half, and he’s been a half most of his life. We signed him as a half.

“What that looks like? I’m not sure. I haven’t even watched a training session with our existing halves, but competition for spots makes everything competitive.
“We’ve got four really good halves on our books. We need to complement a style that makes Nicho look the same way he did this year because he’s pretty exciting. If he wears No.7 or No.6, I’m not going to change the way he plays.

“We need to complement the way he plays to make sure he can be strong, and the team around him can be strong as well.”
Matt Moylan, who was re-signed on a cut-price deal after an injury-plagued stint at the Sharks, will be the leading contender to partner Hynes in the halves alongside Braydon Trindall.

But it’s the addition of Hynes, former Melbourne teammate Dale Finucane and St George Illawarra captain Cameron McInnes which has excited Sharks fans the most.
Not to mention Fitzgibbon himself. In his first public duty in black, white and blue, the former Kangaroo was the star attraction of the Sharks’ delayed grand final luncheon, which held weeks after the season climax so Cronulla could keep it running for a 44th straight year.

The lunch allowed the coach and McInnes an intimate setting to familiarise himself with their new club.
Fitzgibbon joked about telling McInnes during NSW’s State of Origin camp in 2020 of his desire to sign him one day - “I remember saying to him, ‘I’m not sure if I’m going to end up coaching, but when I am, I’m coming for you, mate’” - and then signed for the Sharks himself after the hooker had already committed to Cronulla.

Fitzgibbon told of the mentality he expects his team to play with, which he said would have been enhanced if the Sharks had squeezed into the finals for a seventh straight year in 2021.
They were only tipped out of eighth spot after the Titans’ thumping final-round win over the Warriors, and would have met Fitzgibbon’s Roosters in the play-offs.

Fitzgibbon, a former Sharks ballboy, previously turned down lucrative offers from the Warriors and Dragons to begin his head coaching career, insisting he see out his deal at the Roosters and wait for the right opportunity.
“I never really got too serious investigating any opportunity because of a couple of reasons,” he said.

Rich history, poor form: The shame about the name of NRL’s newest club

“Number one, I didn’t feel like I was ready. The role is not to be taken lightly and anyone who has jumped in too soon has been chewed up and spat out pretty quickly. I felt like I needed to be 100 per cent I was ready to coach.
“Second of all, I wanted to fit a club and walk into a position where I thought I could represent the club well and the club represents what I’m about. I don’t just want to be a coach, I want to win. I felt like the club was in a position, in a number of ways, that made it attractive.
“There’s an element of nostalgia there that is hard to ignore. There were a number of elements that helped my decision, but I also needed to be sure I wasn’t taking a position on nostalgia.
“Once I made that decision, that weight kind of left me and now it’s been nothing other than excitement and enthusiasm going forward.”

I don’t recall anything in the bible about licking plates.

Eating shellfish, laying with another man, playing for Manly - but nothing about plate licking. Am I working from the wrong version?

Crusty plates from the Toup Kitchen were not around during Biblical times so didn't feature as strongly in the ten commandments as they could have, but I have reliable information that they caused Nostradamus to suffer what would be described today as a nervous breakdown.

Can I defer my booking?

In more modern times two of those things have become a lot more acceptable

I didn't mind reading he's thinking Nicho at 7 .
Could open the door for Medcalf at 6 if his off season is good ..
Hopefully he stays .

My guess has been 6 Moylan 7 Hynes

There’s likely three players ahead of Metcalf unless he has a monster preseason.

I know I'm not as qualified as Fitz but a Hynes and Moylan combo does not give me confidence at all.

Zero long kicking game. Happy to be proven wrong.
