The Metcalf pass for his first try is what makes Ronnie such a valuable player. Clearly is a team first guy and his personality is really great for team morale. Will be missed for the rest of the year.

Funny that. Flanno said during the call from a coach perspective he would have been unhappy with him passing the ball (as there was a risk of bombing the try).

I thought it was great.

I thought it was great too
Would have been livid if they'd bungled it though

As long is it works out doubt a coach would ever say more than 'please just score it yourself next time'

If I was a coach Reynold's stepping on deadball to prep for his post try celebration was way worse than this pass off

Would have added something we'd need if we somehow snagged a spot in the finals. Does dumb stuff but you can't replace that enthusiasm

Give this bloke a 10 year contract.
Wears his heart on his sleeve, showed his true colours on Saturday in what he did during the game giving up a hatrick to Metcalf and then with a fractured jaw still managed to walk the field and give his boots to a kid.
That’s the type of guy I would want beside me in the middle

A 10 year contract is a tad over the top.

He did a live video later that night on Instagram but he was pretty cooked on pain killers and couldn’t talk very well (hard to guess why)
Showed a missing tooth on one side and a bad cut on the other which I took as a pretty bad sign given the strike was only to one side

Watching the replay, it didn’t really look like a really hard whack to me. I guess it was the elbow though, which is a darn hard bone.
Kind of reminded me of some of those car accidents in F1. The car gets totally ripped in half and is a crumpled mess, and the driver walks away uninjured. Another car has a smash which doesn’t look any where near as bad, and the driver ends up with horrific injuries or even dies.

Yeah didn’t seem like a super bad hit but clearly enough force and probably an unlucky angle too.
Possibly even saved the try if his chin didn’t get knocked off in the process
