With this guy retiring how will you remember his career? 2016 was epic and he was the main man in the halves. After that seemed to kick stones over money.
I think on Sharkcast they spun the idea of him returning next year to fill our halves hole as a one year filler.
One of the characters that’s for sure and loved him in our colours.

To me it helps he wasn't just a bit of a knob to us over money, he was clearly a bit of a mercenary but an extremely talented half.
Lucky we had him when we did!
We actually got a competent replacement to start with too in 'the swap', until it broke, so a good transition helped also.

The premiership doesn’t happen without him. What happened the next year pales in comparison to the positivity he brought the club in 2016. So yes I’m still a Maloney fan and always will be.

I'm definitely grateful for 2016 but I'd be lying if I said 2017 hasn't left somewhat of a bitter taste in my mouth.

Love the guy, but the stories about him in the playing group etc I don't think he would be a benefit in a non playing capacity.
