More a “non-signing” than a signing: as per multiple reports the following three players will not be offered contracts for 2022.

I’ll add these three as “departing at the end of 2021” when I do the next update.

Shaun Johnson (2021)
Josh Dugan (2021)
Aaron Woods (2021)

*

Another minor update: I’m not sure when he is contracted to, but Jack Martin is definitely signed for 2022.

Pretty much our whole pack is off contract next year. Good opportunity for Fitz to hit the refresh button if he so chooses.

Fifita retiring and Graham's contract should give us lots of space. Even if Graham did play on, it would be at a reduced rate than what he is currently on.

Graham has made it pretty common knowledge he'd like to play in France at some point so I'm pretty sure next year will be his last year for us either way. Can probably get a few more years of footy by heading over seas and still has a young family.

As long as it doesn’t affect his mental well being.
I’d seriously consider retirement if he has set himself up financially.
I head knock in France is still a head knock.

He said the other day that he was trying to comeback this year, so I don't think he is thinking retirement just yet.

I've updated post #1 with Nene as being gone. While it's possible with all of the relocation etc. that he still has a Sharks contract until the end of this season, now that the dev players are being added to the 21 ahead of him I'd say the chances of him playing are remote. He will also be outside the NRL bubble so wouldn't be eligible to return on short notice.

I'll leave Johnson on the "leaving at the end of the year" list for now; it has been reported he is remaining with the team for this season even though he is unlikely to play again.

I guess this goes here?

Cronulla have extended an NRL lifeline to former Raiders forward Kai O’Donnell after his first-grade career appeared over.

Regarded by the Raiders as physical and a dedicated trainer, O’Donnell will join the Sharks’ bubble later this week after signing a train and trial contract for the remainder of the season.

The 98kg lock-forward was reluctantly released by the Raiders last month as a result of the club needing to cap the amount of players that were allowed to relocate to their Queensland hub at 30.
With no NSW Cup fixtures during the current pandemic, coupled with the Raiders quality of depth in their pack, the 22-year-old accepted his release to take up a contract playing with the Mackay Cutters.
O’Donnell played four matches for the Raiders in 2020 — scoring a try against the Sharks last year — and will be considered by Cronulla coach Josh Hannay over the next fortnight.
