I love how Huni's dad (/coach) is throwing it out as an excuse that the injury is why he couldn't put Gal away.
When Gal has already come out and said he had rib cartilage injury but that's not an excuse as Huni is the one who gave it to him.

I certainly don't know for sure (and don't want to know for sure) but I think most boxers would take one sore hand over rib cartilage.
I only started watching it from early in the third and Gal looked like he'd already gone 8 rounds, I couldn't believe how cooked he looked and could barely move so early in fight. All made sense when I found out about rib injury later.

Are you allowed to box at Olympic as a pro?
One of the many Olympic events which throw up some very weird and hard to think not corrupt decisions…

Assume Huni doesn’t want the Olympics enough to wait another 3 years only (mostly) amateur

You can have under 8 pro fights now

I assume both fighters have to be under 8
Otherwise be a bit unfair…

Have been a few decent cards in my household in this division. You'd think it was unfair, a four year old girl against a six year old boy, but she holds her own.

I mean if one fighter had over 8 pro fights he wouldnt be at the olympics

So yeh, both would have under 8

Both my hands had been injured during a sparring session leading up to the Tsoye Fight. I had to have injections into my thumb knowing that surgery would be required after the Olympics to fix it properly.

So Huni knew he needed surgery and took two pro fights before the Olympics anyway?
Hindsight is 20/20 but if it was such a big dream of his really seems like he should have been conservative with it and made sure he went to the Olympics and hope he gets through without issue.
Instead took two pro fights (which are smaller gloves right? and no headgear) and hoped he'd make it through those without issue, even before taking his chances at the Olympics. Faced not just risk of injury from Gal eliminating chances but also chance of pre-existing injury getting worse.
Seems like dream #1 was money and Olympics was a lesser dream...

That's more what I was getting at...
