I don't think if I was at the stadium I'd have been able to watch that last minute

Maybe it was nuts. Once the siren blew and we all high fived and hugged i had to sit down for a minute cos my heart rate was ****ing mental.

That atmosphere though when the siren went. Unforgettable

I was so stressed, I was ugly crying at the end. The poor young girl sitting with her family, next to me. The Father just kept looking at me like "I know..."

I missed the gasping step, went straight from holding breath to shouting and my vision swam I think I nearly passed out haha

Think it was in this thread I made mention.. loudest ive ever screamed once fifs got the green light, only to out do it 11 mins later when Ricky made that tackle to once again trump both those efforts 15-20 minutes later.. when Sir Gal told the world we’re coming home with the trophy...
I went to work on Tuesday sounding like Darryn Lockyer...

Was tonight the first game that there wasn’t a player from the 2016 GF winning team playing?

Sadly, No premiership player representation in our last game!
The club needs to fix that.
Win another one and start the ball rolling again….

Don't think we'll have any grand finalists (Sharks GF or otherwise) in our team at all this week?

Just read an article comparing Barba Hayne and Turbo.

Barba was a massive loss at the end of 2016. Barba had his troubles no doubt and what a career he had and what he could of added to it. Bit rough imo failing a recreation drug after the GF. It would be everywhere with any team.

He is only 32 and could of had another 6 plus years with us and what could of been.

With the 5-year anniversary coming up (and before we get out of lockdown), I have been thinking about a way to create an archive of stories/photos from the Premiership year, sort of an "oral history" but in written form.

You may see I've added a new forum named "Premiers 2016" - https://sharksforever.com/index.php?forums/premiers-2016.163/

The idea being that anyone who wants to can create their own thread, write their own story and upload any photos you want.

If there is enough response, I would make a mini-site - https://premiers2016.com - to show those stories and photos in a more visual way, and then share that around more widely.

I've considered different ways to do it, but as it may be a stupid idea (!), I will just re-use the forum technology and user registration for now, and see how things go.

The notice at the top of the forum has all the info. Just remember to post with your own privacy in mind.

Feel free to try out, you can always edit your post later (I may need to verify Edit Post settings!).
