Just checked the charge sheet and couldn't see the corner post on it, I think B&B is joking.

woke up this morning forgetting we had won, kinda cause it didn't feel like a win and kinda cause we did everything possible to lose that game (as Anasta correctly stated we didn't want to win it towards the end) and I guess I am just so used to the Sharks losing at this point it's my automatic next day reaction

I saw a bunch of sharks players busting their asses and having a crack only to be held back and let down by their self absorbed halfback on too many occasions to count (was close to every time he touched the ball)

nice to only concede 2 trys for a change and see our opposition struggle with goal kicking (which was the difference in the end)

Bird tried hard for the dragons but boy did he make a metric tonne of errors and I enjoyed seeing Dugan get it over him

If Will Kennedy is even like 10% off the brilliant form he showed last night I reckon we lose that one, he was really switched on. carried us on his back in attack and made no mistake anywhere on the field

Chad wasn't just switched off, he wasn't even plugged into the grid, his execution and concentration levels were abysmal bar about 2 plays over 84 mins of footy

what a cripple fight that game was, was deadset expecting it to end in a draw, not thinking anyone would be non-unco enough to slot a FG

And like... another third of the team who also sucked...

Anyone else think we jammed way too much on on the side the ball was on?
Defensively, I know all teams defend this way but I really believe we take it to extremes or at least last night, we were gone so many times & if hadn’t been from the Dragons poor execution we would’ve lost that game.

My 1st post since the game last night, watching that game you can certainly say it was a lucky victory & certainly one of the worst games all year. We should have been going a lot straighter & we would have gained a lot more metres probably, we let them get way too many easy metres at some stages especially Hunt with his runs of the ball. Sort of lucky at times Dragons were just as dull as we were & Norman certainly doesn't have the best kicks on him either.

Into extra time, Dragons certainly had the momentum again & I thought for sure Dragons were going to win it before I saw them run on the last, I couldn't believe our luck when I saw that. Mawene Hiroti made a good break & made amends for his terrible mistake before golden point. It was the 2nd tackle & Chad was right in front 20mtrs out, I was hoping we'd go for the kick at that time despite it only being the 2nd tackle. Either way a win is a win & I'll take it especially a local derby.

run straight!!!!!!
kept screaming that many a time last night.

there is a time for lateral movement and others need to run straight and with gusto.

none of the other players let us down as consistently than Chad and he is supposed to be our key guy

Narrative has changed to haven’t beat a top 8 team from last year

haven't beaten a top 8 team that we didn't already beat in round 1 of that season

Was just pointing out Chad didn’t drag down 16 other fantastic efforts, the bunch of other guys busting their arse were let down by more than 1 person.
Nikora would have to come into conversation for consistently letting us down that game too, especially given how much less he is hands on ball than Chad.
Suggesting other players were also bad is just another Chad defence though I guess

I was thinking that too. Good to see Williams come on and run straight and hard. I think Woods in his first stint was doing that as well.

Those two sin bins were killers too. Just can't afford to go anywhere near the head, especially Dugans.

In saying that, Paul Vaughan's one was a joke, as were the crusher ones.

Chad was hands down our worst out there. In such a key position, he is relied upon to organise the team and to manage the game. He can't handle any of that, his effort is there, but his kicking options aren't, his attacking choices aren't and his defence isn't.
Others didn't play well, I agree, but CTs role is such a crucial role that he is going to be targeted more often.

Our team's also in the position where Chad's the only one doing it all. I don't think that's coaching, just necessity.
If you're the opposition it's an easy gameplan. Pressure Chad all game, as there's no plan b for the Sharkies
