Full strength, this guy back to the 14.

Anyone think Moyza would run Brimson down?

Anyone think SJ would have run anyone down before he actually did?

I give him two more games to prove he still has something to offer. That's enough to be match fit and in tune with the rest of the team. If not I can't see a place for him in the squad period. If so it still only gets him to the bench

I must need to watch Sharks games Sober, cause i thought he was poor (again). Stage was set to step up. Still took ingrained Touch footy Options IMHO. 3rd game back he MUST fire next week. If not, bench option replacing Tracey. If still can't come on give spark for 30 mins, gone- Dropped when Townsend back. How many games grace can we keep giving? Surely 4 for a top line player? Seriously, yesterday was all set for him to play well, all things considered. I just don't think he played well(Beers aside)

He was poor don’t waste your time bro.. looks like he’s stuck in last years form. Not sure what thresh or spanner watched

It’s frustrating but Morris is not going to permanently drop a player with Moylan’s price tag. I can understand and live with that.

But it is on Bomber to find the right position for him.

It’s not 1 and we’re seeing at the moment it’s not 6. Only spot left is 14 and that’s where he’ll probably end up.

he will go straight back to wearing the number 1 jersey as soon as Chad is fit lets not kid ourselves, and the way he is playing in the 6 right now it might not be the worst decision from the coach

the bench thing earlier in the year was just about easing him back into playing with limited minutes after he first returned from injury post pre-season IIRC. I don't know how much value he will bring from the bench but we prob arn't gunna miss Tracey that much so it might be worth another shot

Gards, I hope you're wrong about Moylan going back into the #1 jumper. I'm sure even Bomber must know how fragile he is. He just can't stretch out.

In the weekends game he just looked at a loose ball that was his for the taking. The team cannot afford to carry a player in the spine who can't pull their weight.

As has been said above, the only spot I can see for him is at #14, and to be frank I think that there are better options for that spot too.

i dont think he was poor, but he wasn't brilliant either

defensively, he is great, put on a nice shot on hipgrave that lost the ball

but with the ball he looks slow and looks like he is worried about his hamstring going rather than trying to do something flashy

he shouldn't be playing, he isn't 100%

I think him being able to play 3 or so games at 5/8th has been good for him. Not running as much as he needs to at FB, can chose to run it as much or as little as he likes at 5/8th too.

Whether that's enough before going back to FB I don't know. He had one game from the bench and a game at 5/8th before going back to FB, so he's had more time to build up that running in his legs before he goes back.

I wasn't even expecting Kennedy to chase him down, so yeah no chance Moylan does.

I don't disagree, I think WK at Fullback makes a lot of sense, but what we want or think and what's going to happen is a different story. Moylan WILL be going back to FB at some point so I'm just resigned to that.

Moylan at 6 will only happen though injury. 14 is an option but where does he come on ? Wasn't a fan of that middle role he played when he last played 14.

Bomber needs to send Moylan to the person who seems to have got SJ's marbles all rolling in the same direction.

I don't think Moylan's problem is mental post injury recovery as Shaun's was reported to be, I think Mozza's hammy's are just legitimately and physically rooted

But Duges has managed to come out of the other side of chronic issues so there is some hope I spose

Duges is managing a chronic knee issue presumably pretty similar to what quite a few 10ish year NRL players have to, mostly just wear and tear. Managed via reduced loading more than anything, which is the opposite to what Moylan needs, he needs to get his strength and fitness in his legs right up which isn't possible when he has to play on the weekends. Missing all of pre-season, whilst related to the issue, also maximise the chances of the issue cropping back up during season. Hammy recursion rate is one of the worst so the more fitter stronger muscles he has around it supporting it the better his chances of not aggravating it.

Morris says he will manage Moylan at FB by using Dugan to drop back there to do some defending, which I personally don't love, and thinks he can get Moylan fine if he can get him through a full pre-season (which would need to be very very carefully managed).
Or at least, that's what he says publicly. I've been pretty clear I'd be happy to see Moylan call it a day after this season and I think most, if not all, on here are on board with that idea.

I just hope that Bomber, in his desire to keep Moylan in the team, doesn't fall into previous bad habits by playing him at fullback.

I feel sorry for Moylan as I believe there is still a good footballer in there somewhere, but FMD, how many times does he have to break down before Bomber admits to himself that it is not going to be wearing the #1 jumper.

Poor Bomber probably goes to sleep every night muttering over and over, 'Chad or Moyza', 'Chad or Moyza', 'Chad or Moyza' .................

The bloke wearing the #1 jumper the past few weeks deserver to keep it. Ok, he isn't Tedesco/Scheck/Slater level and may never be, but he is doing his job and doing it well.

Morris eluded to Moylan just getting through a pre season and getting those Km's and strength in his legs.

In his car but probably pop a calf planting the accelerator.

Wouldn't advise starting this weekend mate.
